I can't see NJ, after all the criticism for VC and the feeling the refs cheated them, come out and lose again at home. It's just not going to happen.

^Exactly. I don't expect NJ to drop both at home.

^ Do you have a peronal vendetta with VC?

The Nets are 82-57 (.589) since he came over in the trade. They were 9-16 (.360) before him.

    Nets Winningest Teams:
    1. 52-30 - 2001-02
    2. 49-33 - 2005-06
    - 49-33 - 2002-03
    - 49-33 - 1982-83
    5. 47-35 - 2003-04

He was also on the winningest team in Toronto Raptors history. He was a jumpshot from getting his college diploma, being criticized by a league that, at the same time, is saying college is important, and sending his team to the Eastern Conference Finals over at team that won 10 more games than his.

He wasn't faking knee injuries. Did you see the tip-in by Carter with 32 seconds remaining? Did you see it was Richard Jefferson that missed the potential game-winner? Did you see that he missed at least 5 lay-ins and that led to a horrible shooting percentage? He doesn't shoot too much from the outside; that's his role with Nenad Kristic because the rest of the team cannot shoot a jumper to save their life.

Vince Carter was not the reason they lost on Sunday.

What was the deal with his college degree thing? I don't recall hearing the story...
On the morning of Game 7 of the 2001 Eastern Semifinals series with the Philadelphia 76ers, Carter attended his Graduation ceremony from North Carolina University. He then caught a private flight from Carolina to Philadelphia, PA in time for the game (6PM start, I believe).

The pre-game argument was that Carter should've skipped the ceremony in order to be with his team. On the same day all this is going on, NBC is running a 10-minute long piece about the value of a 4-year college experience. Kwame Brown, Tyson Chandler, and Eddy Curry were about to be drafted and the Draft Lottery was held at halftime of this game between the Sixers and Raptors.

People blamed him for losing that game because he spent the early part of the day in North Carolina. It was probably the first criticism of Carter's career to that point. The first of many.
