calls new york times, abc, nbc, cbs, and cnn the enemy of the people, then says he didn't![]()
Spending billions on that wall is re ed. If Trump actually gave a about illegal immigration he'd go after the people who employ them. Like his first pick for labor secretary. Or himself.
He is going after bad dudes only. Rapist, drug dealers, and etc. And attacking businesses would hurt the economy.
Let's say it costs 20 billion extra for a wall instead of a fence so the 2006 bill would cost $74 billion instead of $54 billion. So what?...
Still way better than doing nothing. The CBO found that S.744 would lead to a 3.3 percent increase in GDP and reduce the deficit by $135 billion, over ten years. It further estimated that this legislation would reduce the deficit by $820 billion, over twenty years.

EDIT...Oops...got the bills mixed up. S. 744 was the 2013 bipartisan bill which also provided for fencing. From the CBO...
Either way...opposing immigration reform because of the cost of a $20 billion wall doesn't make sense. Even if you think it is a waste of money.Specifically, CBO and JCT estimate that enacting S. 744 would have these budgetary
effects:
Increase federal direct spending by $262 billion over the 2014–2023 period. Most
of those outlays would be for increases in refundable tax credits stemming from
the larger U.S. population under the bill and in spending on health care
programs—particularly for the Medicaid program and for subsidies provided
through insurance exchanges created under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
Increase federal revenues by $459 billion over the 2014–2023 period. That
increase would stem largely from additional collections of income and payroll
taxes, reflecting both an increase in the size of the U.S. labor force and changes in
the legal status of some current workers.
Decrease federal budget deficits through the changes in direct spending and
revenues just discussed by $197 billion over the 2014–2023 period. Because
enacting the bill would affect direct spending and revenues, pay-as-you-go
procedures apply. Those procedures consider only the on-budget effects of
legislation and not the off-budget effects, such as the effects on Social Security
taxes and spending.

those businesses are employing illegal immigrants instead of giving americans jobs.
lock them up!
Trump got good reviews from CNN, even Van Jones praised him. The Dem response was pretty lackluster. I'm surprised they didn't go with any of the up and coming Dems like Harris or even Booker. At least it wasn't Rubio or Jindal bad.
Technically mavsfan and the Donald are telling the truth. He did say the Fake News is the enemy of the American People. The issue is whether people consider NYTimes, NBC, ABC, CBS and CNN Fake News.
They stopped being the free press when they joined Klinton kamp and MIC warmongers in servitude.
They havent been free in a loong time
Watching Ryan and the rest of the republicans give Donald a standing ovation when he called for a trillion in infrastructure spending was surreal considering they blocked every piece of infrastructure spending Obama ever proposed. And Obama's ask(s) were small by comparison $50-60B. We'll see what they come up with.
Trump promised a lot of "free" last night. Oprah style.
Infrastructure for you.
Tax cuts for you.
Bringing back dead industry for you.
Walls for you.
Healthcare for you...
What's surreal about it after seeing how they acted when Obama implemented RomneyCare?
Oh andDemocrats still parading Debbie Wasserman s as some kind of standard for goodness
They even dressed her up in all white
basically used her office at the DNC as a brothel for Kilntons, Wall Street thugs and MIC pimps
Disgusting party
Why can't people link the relevant material?
Oh well, here it is:
https://www.c-span.org/video/?424147...ssion-congress
Why not.
They always act small...
We got a president who is a liar. He is willing to lie and get called on it. As long he continues, the press will hammer him as they should. Of course we get the "all presidents lie" retort, but nothing this blatant. We elected a liar. It has been passed off by some as trolling, which is probably worse.
Relevant material...
Trump and company are flying by the seat of their pants. We have never seen such horrendous planning and lack of detail. I have always assumed leaders send clear messages and have planned implementation. Not this guy. What we now have to witness is the strength of our democratic ins utions in a stable country. It's actually quite comforting. Eventually the actual thinkers will come to the forefront of his adm. and put ideas into plans. I hope.
Why?
because the lying talking heads say that?
Seems to me it fits the bill:
He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper; he shall receive Ambassadors and other public Ministers; he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed, and shall Commission all the Officers of the United States.
Why isn't it?
Again...
Because the talking heads say so?
A name is just a name. Like it or not, it is a State of the Union event. Even if they don't call it that.
For some reason, the song " Baby" came to mind.
"They" will hammer the GOP on lies and truths and half truths and innuendo and anything they can take out of context. They will hammer them on any sign of fake news from fake Twitter accounts or anything some other tabloid concocts from thin air, but rest assured it will be done in a "could this be true" clickbait style piece that attempts to separate the hack story from the MSM en y "we're not saying this is true, but if it is..".
That's long been the way partisan hacks create, not report, the news. This is nothing new.
Hey Whinehole.
At 1:12 in the link I posted, congress does call it a State of the Union.
please stop your whining.
dont hurt yourself with those stretches.
he called the major news networks fake news and said they were the enemy of the people.
so proud of our president for reading from his script like a good boy
at least when previous presidents gave speeches they didnt write it actually sounded like something they might say.
also super funny to see trump supporters excited that hes done a 180 on his overall tone and several issues. basically the protests you idiots have been ing about worked, and youre patting yourselves on the back.
lol
Lol honoring the navy seal basically forcing everyone to stand and applaud was such a sleazy genius move.
