To be fair Spurs past couple of seasons haven't either. In 2015 both Tiago and Tony played injured and Tiago was a big part of that particular team's frontcourt b4 Lamarcus. In 2016 Tim was clearly injured and if you compare how he looked vs Griffin/Deandre in 2015 to how he looked vs OKC frontline in 2016 it's like witnessing a different player. But Time catching up to Tim was bound to happen sometime.
I actually would be wary of even counting the lucky stars bc Spurs still have a bunch of old dudes they rely on.

When you run around acting like arrogant asses for the past 2 years, then have a player of Durant's caliber fall into your lap because he's trying to take the easy way out, and your level of acting like asses gets even worse... yeah nodody is going to feel sorry for you.
Warriors and Durant will know full extent of injury after tests on Wednesday, but there's real doubt about a regular season return.

I wasn't trying to say we didn't have our share of bad luck as well, but spur fans act like the dubs have been 100% healthy up til this point lol
Just healthier than others if we are objective... but it caught up to them at some point.
I hope our own guys stay healthy. Spurs depend just as much or more on Kiwi, let's not kid ourselves.![]()
Freakish injury bc dude was just standing by... Damn Zaza flopping...
One year equals luckier than others? I guess the timing of their healthiness was lucky, but they've had more bad breaks than most teams, they were due for a stretch of healthiness. They were pretty close to upsetting us in 2013 til curry got hurt. David Lee was injured that year in the playoffs as well iirc. The next year Bogut was injured in the playoffs iirc. Then 2015 they were finally healthy. Then 2016, freak injuries to Curry and Bogut. Now 2017, freak injury to KD.
Compared to the Spurs playoff injuries the last few years, which are mostly age related (Manu, TP, TD) or injury prone guys (Tiago), or both (Manu, TP, Tiago). You could argue our young guys have been surprisingly healthy come playoff time. Everyone needs a little health luck at the end of the day. They shouldn't be discredited for it, especially when they were obviously the best team the last two years, health aside.
But yeah, let's hope pray we've got through Kawhi's annual injury and he's healthy for the playoffs. Along with everyone else, of course. I worry about David Lee sometimes, but in limited time I think he'll be ok.![]()
Bogut and Tiago are about the same... maybe Tiago in his last season and thereafter worse. And GSW learned to play without him bc of the development of their youngsters back in the day, better than Spurs could deal without Tiago. Despite Baynes development he was never as good as Tiago when he was healthy. There are a lot of semantics about how injured Curry was last season, not as injured as Kyrie or Love the season b4 etc.
And Spurs age related injuries are still injuries. I used to worry about Lee due to him the past couple of seasons but limited minutes of the bench spares his body I think. And he mentioned he came into the season in better shape than he'd been the seasons prior. I was worried about Davis due to his knee injury. In reality the one guy they really cannot afford to lose is Kawhi.
