I think you underestimate what you'll be able to do at 55.

So when one is 55, one ponders how "long" it's been since it stayed long for sustained periods of time.
I don't want to live to 50.
I wanna think about how that 1/8 th ounce weedless gold spoon is an awesome wading lure anytime of the year. And where can I find that 1/16 th ounce lure. And that oversized fish stripping drag. Casting tangent to and past the wad of tails and bam! Replay, replay...
Care to explain? - I'm not getting this fishing analogy at all.
Rattle traps and outgoing tide bro. At 90 you'll be hearing people talk about it while you're getting your sack cleaned.
Never too old to fish and you never actually find your pinnacle (reel manufacturer notwithstanding) in fishing, there's always that unexplored combination or locale.
This is no analogy.
This is my reason for wanting to live. DMC says it's all about erections. I say its all about fishing and I figure the wadefishing might go downhill at 50. So goodbye. I'm out. Just like Kramer.
My mil is 88 and still doing tai chi, yoga and line dancing - woman's stronger than I am. Just take care of yourself and the above won't happen (well, maybe at the very end).
There is a God!
And I gotta get there via kayak. Stealth, and taking in all the surroundings with out interruptions. No gd airboats.
I'd rather be dead than line dancing.
Spoons, spoons.
Im telling you I can tell within 10 minutes where to move. And tide moving, in or out. If no tide find wind blown current. Rattle traps get weeds in the summer with heavy grass. But I do I like topwaters early. Change out those frkn treble hooks.
I will go to yours with little sunlight, cloudy days.
OK - whatever guys do. Dh bought this second hand rowing machine and tried to set it up in his little study. Of course, the thing is huge - can only fit in the family room, but what can I say - he'll be exercising and spending time with me instead of holed up in his study.
you live in Florida!
Get 2 damn kayaks and get it done.
Dammit people need to get the outside.
I stay in shape to kayak fish and snow ski. That means running, swimming, biking.
Outside with the both of you!
I don't fish skinny water, don't wade in salt often. Humans are not the top of the food chain once we get out of the boat in sal er.
It's very humid (dd says she drinks so much more in TX and CA than FL) and remember we had Zika. Authorities discouraged outside activities unless necessary and even then, with long sleeves.
Repellant, shape, take a frozen gallon milk jug 3/4 h2o. 1/4 Gatorade Let it melt as the sun rises on your yak. Stay out till lunch. I will stay out all day.
yes it's humid in the summer on the Texas coast. But you are in shape. You are a machine. You can't be stopped.
I win.
Out of his or her domain.
You should check out the TKF forum. I've got two wilderness rides and have been kayaking at the coast since '98 before academy knew what a kayak was *sigh*. Had to slow my wade fishing down after the knee issue but still get out.
Still chasing that 30" trout. Got a 29 -1/2 fishing a tournament about 5 years ago.
BRW didn't quit wading just can't do mud anymore.
Both parties currently suck with healthcare.
