I'd prolly play Kawhi so he can get a feel for how the Grizz are going to defend him again, but everyone else is fair game.
"Who is sitting tonight?" is going to be the most frequently asked question you're going to hear before any Spurs game for the next 10 days.
Not in favor of mass-resting key players in the remaining 6 games since nobody really outside Pau looks to be in good rhythm heading into the playoffs..I would probably hold out Manu more than anyone since he is the most prone to a stupid injury, but Kawhi/TP/LMA/Green all need to get in a groove.

Likely first round preview..
Going to be interesting to monitor the level of effort/urgency of Memphis in this game..Wonder if they rush Gasol back for this one..or may be it is a real tankfest between them and Okc to get us ..(Grizzlies face Thunder at home after this game, so they could legitimately still jump them for 6th seed)..
Grizz don't even bother anymore with putting Chandler Parson on their injury report ..
Translation: "Playing(and starting) till 40 come or high water"
Warriors in 4
Clippers in 6 (in 5 w/HC)
Houston in 6
Spurs in 6
Spurs in 5 or 7 imo; they won't close out the Grizz in Memphis. Houston also beats the Thunder in 5 or less.
Spurs will sweep the grizz, I guarantee it.
Warriors 4
Spurs in 5
Clippers in 6
Houston in 4
Spurs over Houston in 6 or less
Warriors over Clippers in 5
Spurs over Warriors in 6
Spurs over CLE in 6 or less
The first 2 rounds of the playoffs should be 5 game series. Having to win 4 games in the 1st and 2nd rounds is re ed, not to mention series that drag out.
Slightly off topic, but with the 2 seed all but locked in, a part of me will be cheering against the Spurs and for the Lakers later this week. After the Lakers beat the Grizz, they caught PHX in the win column and doesn't look like PHX is even trying anymore. One more win could push the Lakers out of a tie for second and into third on their own in number of lottery balls.
Someone had idea of a three game sweep in round 1 (or even beyond that). Would reward teams for going for the jugular and getting extra rest but league would hate losing that extra game.
I could see the Spurs winning in any amount numbers of games tbh..It is going to depend on them. Memphis doesn't have another gear and have been objectively the worst Western playoff team since the All Star break..
Conley is fine but he isn't a Westbrook who can blow up for a 45/10/15 and win you a game or two almost singlehandedly..And then you have a banged-up Gasol and bunch of old and unathletic dudes..
On the other hand I think the Thunder have a formula to make it a series vs Rockets especially if Harden continues to struggle with the wrist.. Tallball (rebounding), paint/rim-attacking (PG) and defense is what playoff basketball about...

Parker ..
He's a huge negative when he's not making shots but aj even bigger negative of he does. Also, As I mentioned in the my new thread. Gasol has looked like the second best player for the spurs since playing as a 6th man.
Don't expect Pop to show any cards tonight. Someone said Kawhi should play to get used to Grizz double teams. I'd be ok with that but we should rest him soon.
Tony has become the gopher in Caddyshack. ST is Bill Murray.
Interesting, Tony is the worst player in the team relative to role and minutes. In that same vein rook Bryn Forbes not that far from Patty if he was shooting and moving off the ball to get open with more aggressiveness, something he could learn with experience and chemistry.
That surprised me bc I would venture just the fact they are specialists is probably what impacts the offense the most. Mills obviously is much better just on his experience and his speed moving off the ball, + he's an incredibly quick gunner, but I would have expected that chart to have Mills impact much higher.
edit: actually it's alarming bc as much as Kiwi is pulling the team up, Tony is dragging it way down.

We have 2 back-to-backs this week, so I can almost guarantee he'll sit one of the games out this week.
TPA is probably the worst advanced stat I've ever seen, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Lol. Ok Mr only my stats matter.
According to TPA.... Kiwi isn't a top 5 player, is worse than James Harden on defense, and is barely above Jimmy Butler overall. Seems accurate tbh imo
