Chicago's tougher than they get credit for. They were right in games 1 & 2; the only surprises tonight were the wide margin, and the Miami Meltdown.

Nothing happened. The Miami Heat have not been dominating this series, and I point to these stats:

    Chicago Bulls:
    108.0 PPG
    .481 FG%
    .464 3FG%

The only reason that the Bulls cannot win this series is because they have no answer for Shaquille O'Neal. He beats them up inside. He played 24 minutes, had 5 fouls, and only took 8 shots. The Bulls were able to play their defense, and that's how they got this win.

    Miami Heat
    Game one: .481 FG%
    Game two: .524 FG%
    Game three: .417 FG%

That's why everyone keeps saying that if they get a big man without destroying this nucleus (they'll have 2 picks from the Knicks is as many years) that this team is going to be a force. The problem is, they cannot defend the interior if Shaq is in there.

That's why everyone keeps saying that Indiana, New Jersey, and Detroit can beat the Miami Heat. They don't have the defense they had last season, and Shaq cannot carry them for an entire game. 5 years ago, Shaq would've scored 45 tonight and broken the spirits of the Bulls in probably a 5-point victory for the Heat. That's not the case anymore. That's why Steve Kerr said in TNT's last broadcast of the season last year: "Miami is in trouble. They wasted probably their best chance to get a le with Shaquille O'Neal."

We're armchair quarterbacks but we're not stupid and we're not just "hoping" that the Heat don't beat the Pistons. If Detroit is healthy (as is the case for every successful playoff run) I don't see this team beating the Pistons. They've got two teams in New Jersey and Indiana that are going to challenge them next round because they have all the tools and no fear playing that team.

Jerry Buss and Mitch Kupchak are looking smarter and smarter.

He should be. That hip check in transition was dangerous. 15 years ago that would be an acceptable play, but not now.

Not sure why anyone is surprised about this. The Heat got up big in the first two games at home and held on. Playing in Chicago, the same thing happened without the Heat getting up big. This is the third meltdown in a row.

The Bulls have more intensity, energy and team chemistry while Shaq is resembling a Giant Sloth. He played 24 minutes and it looked like he didn't have any energy, even laying one in during the 4th quarter instead of doing one of his signature monster dunks.

It's an entertaining series. Go Bulls!

One of the announcers said that while Alonzo was doing an interview Wednesday D Wade walked up and said "still milking that injury Alonzo"? They said Z looked surprised then let out a sigh and said "Thanks Wade, thanks Bro" and then stormed out of the interview. Apparently he went to Riley shortly thereafter and told him "it's time". Sounds like Wade angered Mourning into playing, perhaps sooner than he should have.

Sounds like the teams a bit dysfunctional.

Don't act surprised, Chicago should win this series. I picked them before it started.

Imagine if they had won game 1... ing Kirk Hinrich.
