You do realize there are a load of other professional basketball leagues around the world, right?

    From within the same branch?

Soccer has half a dozen different leagues.

Its stupid to based things on league revenue. Soccer is way too popular with compe ive leagues everywhere. There's european league caliber Asian players that stay within their league because the money is already there.

    Its not even close.
We know soccer is the world's sport and no other sport can compete with its total overall revenue. I'm just countering you and Skinnyfatball crew's dumbass assumption that the MLB is desperate for viewers and revenue. Every sports league has deals with Twitter.

But I know you guys are desperate for material, so carry on.

That's just different compe ions and divisions, not hard to follow at all

Although I can see how murikans and their short attention span would have a hard time with it tbh

But the NBA has emerged as the definitive league, which is what happens in real sports. Povertyball has a million different leagues and they're all equally terrible.

    Soccer: the REAL fatball
    Baseball. Always. Wins.
    Let's take a tally.

    - The Skinnyfatball's crew first bullet in this debate was that baseball was an unathletic game populated by 90% fat people.

We've proven time after time that baseball players consistently reach higher in game speeds, that the average body fat percentage of a baseball player is around 12% (average body fat percentage of Brazilian soccer players, who are easily the most athletic players in the world, is about 14%), average vertical leap of MLB players is 28", roughly the same as NBA players, and that the face of their sport on the athletic side of things (Twinknaldo) is a pretty ty athlete compared to even Prince Fielder

    - Their counter to this was "s-s-stamina! Calories burned"

Fair enough. But nothing about soccer's stamina and aerobic demands are impressive. Like I've said, they average about 3-5mph over 90 minutes with a break in between. That's walking speed. Just recently a 400lb sumo wrestler jogged 8 straight miles in a marathon, eventually finishing it (he had to walk though). If they want to talk about stamina, pick the in' triathlon or something.

    - Then they started posting about taking s or something, which was shut down in one post.

Now I guess the new shtick is criticizing the MLB for making smart business deals

One reason they fail is because none of their shticks are based in reality, while the baseball crew's, being smarter and wittier, are. TicTacTrot makes sense because 30% of the games actually end in a ing tie. Floptrot makes sense because soccer players spend most of time trotting and one of the most infamous things in the sport is the diving.

They should just quit and target another sport.

    Says the:

" I hate baseball because there's not enough trotting around "

Americans have a tough time with soccer because it's a twink filled jogging game that ends in a tie 1/3rd of the time. And when it does, they load up the Nintendo and play Mario Party.

You have to combine the revenue of the top 3 Povertyball leagues to match the MLB's.

    Sad, indeed.

The combined population of England, Spain, and Italy is 160 million. The US population is 320 million.

So only Italy, Spain, and English citizens watch their respective leagues? They got you up on Saturday morning enjoying draws and diving, as these leagues do for fans around the world. The global reach is far bigger than the MLB.

No, that's what happens when a sport isn't as big thoughout the rest of the world as football is

Man, the US is one of the most populated countries in the world. You almost forget that.

Not soccer or baseball related, but it's pretty evident that Population size plays a major role if not the biggest role in maintining a Powerhouse of a nation.

Makes you kinda inpressed with the Nazis ( i dont support them) seeing as every Major political world powerhouse had a relative advatnage in popularion.

The US alone has a bigger population size than the whole middle east. Crazy.

Which makes India an embarrasment. How is it possible that they're getting threatened by a significantly smaller nation in Pakistan . Gets beat by Pakistan, England, Australia in their own sport etc.

The vast majority of MLB revenue is through TV. I'm pretty sure the Asians are not waking up every morning and watching the Marlins live from 8-12

As a matter of fact, I know they're not. I've been to Japan and Korea. I've never seen an MLB game on a television set.

They just beat Australia (reigning world champs) in the latest test.

I wasn't suggesting they watch MLB. They have their own leagues. You said "don't give a about baseball," implying the sport as a whole.

Well duh..India is still a top 4 cricket nation. I'm just saying with the significant amount lf population advantage, countries like Pakistan-England-Australia shouldnt have stints of doninance over them.

No, it was in the context of your stupid chart about sports leagues' revenue where you tried to ignore the whole "per capita" component.

India is poor as . Australia is a first world country. FWIW, I don't think Pakistan and England typically beat India in the modern day. Not sure, though. I don't follow cricket.

No. It was a counter to the re ed assumption ITT that the MLB is desperate for viewers (and thus revenue).

And how impassioned you are defending TicTacTrot. Europhilic to the core

Isn't baseball and cricket a significantly older sports than soccer? Or Batting games in general.

I was watching a do entary about some "developing" soccer nations a few years ago and Soccer wasn't even a popular sport in Asia. Both Western and Eastern...like 50-60 years ago.

What's interesting is Colonial and imperialistic nations like Britain and the US dictated the spread of their sports in Asia...

I'm not sure how soccer started in South America.
