The price we pay for 2 decades of success, tbh. After you've rung 5 times, the regular season just doesn't have the same luster. Spurs fans show up for the playoffs, though.

You'd think posters would be more excited about a 60-win, 2nd-seeded team going into the playoffs, but instead it's just the same old garbage in every thread: Parker is fat, Anderson sucks, LMA is a choker, Kawhi disappears, Gasol can't defend, Ginobili is old, etc etc etc.

Understandable. Kawhi ball is extremely boring & very low chance of winning any championships. Why should fans waste thier time and money?

Empty seats playoffs
The lack of interest even shows on this message board.
There have been alot of empty seats this year. I have definitely noticed.
I went to this game and man what a disappointing crowd that was. I sat literally on row 24 or 25 in the 2nd level which is the row by the wall and crowd was pretty good where we were but man i would see all those empty seats up in the front and i just shook my head. As much as people want to blame our success for feeling complacent, there was NO reason not to be amped up for that game. And yet, nothing.
Although i don't know how it would work, I wish they would allow seat fillers. If person doesn't show up at their seats by end of 1st quarter, allow others to take their seat for the rest of the game or until the person shows up.
This isn't unique to San Antonio. Most American sports fans are lukewarm now, across all sports. I blame smartphones.
