They discussed, in broad terms, major changes the incoming administration envisioned for the intelligence community, as recounted by a person on the train who overheard their conversation.

At the risk of sounding like a big conspiracy theorist, we are JUST SAYING that this very weird assortment of shady (and very rich!) characters meeting on trains and doing back door meetings to each other (and not in a That’s What She Said way) is KIND OF BIZARRE, WE ARE JUST SAYING.
And when we say “weird assortment,” we mean it:Christian theocrats, mercenaries who get their rocks off killing Ay-Rabs, the creepy Steve Bannon-aligned Mercers (who partially own Breitbart), big weird gay PayPal billionaire Peter Thiel, who Trump memorably got all hand-cuddly with during the roundtable he threw for tech leaders during the transition … what in the name of -all do these people have in common, and, like Garland asked above, “What were these madmen planning and why?”

Prince contributed at least $100,000 through a political action committee run by billionaire hedge-fund manager Robert Mercer.
That PAC also funneled contributions from Thiel, the billionaire Silicon Valley entrepreneur who has acted as an informal liaison to the high-tech world for the White House.
It’s especially curious when you consider that Prince did all this hush-hush advising, and then immediately went to the Seyc es for a meeting with a Putin aide to establish a new “back channel” between Team Trump and the Russians.
The meeting was organized by the United Arab Emirates, and it was generally understood by those in attendance that Prince was an “unofficial” representative of Trump.

THE CONTINUING FALLOUT FROM TRUMP AND NUNES’S FAKE SCANDAL
The binder of secret do ents is at the center of the bizarre scandal created by what may be
the most reckless lie President Trump has ever told.
On March 4th, he tweeted, “Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower just before the victory.
Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!”
The White House made several efforts to justify Trump’s claim, including using Devin Nunes, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, as a conduit for the do ents, which allegedly offered some substantiation.
A former Nunes staffer now working for the White House dug up the transcripts and shared them with Nunes.
As Bloomberg View reported, earlier this month, Susan Rice, Obama’s national-security adviser, had used a process that allowed her to request that the masked names be revealed to her.
Rice had to log her unmasking requests on a White House computer, which is how Trump’s aides knew about them.
Nunes and the White House presented this as a major scandal.
“I think the Susan Rice thing is a massive story,” Trump told the Times, adding, while offering no evidence, that Rice may have committed a crime.
It is now clear that the scandal was not Rice’s normal review of the intelligence reports but the coördinated effort between the Trump Administration and Nunes to sift through classified information and computer logs that recorded Rice’s unmasking requests, and then
leak a highly misleading characterization of those do ents,
all in an apparent effort to turn Rice, a longtime target of Republicans, (a knitter and woman, of course the Repugs hate her)
into the face of alleged spying against Trump.
It was a series of lies to manufacture a fake scandal. Last week, CNN was the first to report that both Democrats and Republicans who reviewed the Nunes material at the N.S.A. said that
the do ents provided “no evidence that Obama Administration officials did anything unusual or illegal.”
