Spurs actually got off to a good start last game with Lee in the SL. As long as he utilizes Bertans if scoring becomes a premium/Lee becomes unplayable it's fine.
This geezer is so ing predictable.

"Pop's secret weapon". God our coach sucks, getting outcoached by rookie ass Fizdale. Meanwhile, the rest of the actual contenders are enjoying and lolligagging through to the second round.
I'm afraid he is going to be West 2.0. Lee truly has no business playing more than 20 minutes-- more so since he's been slumping for the past month..
If you're giving up defense, might as well play more Pau who has a height advantage and has better range..
Yea I thought the same, it was more the issue he played Lee for a bunch of defensive possessions and 33 minutes that was the issue. They actually had a good start with Lee.
starting bonner turned it around against okc in 2014 tbh... you never know
I am afraid of that too... hopefully he plays well/better than West was for Pop in 2016 and Pop doesn't stretch the minutes... like I said above.
Let's root for Lee.
======
Actually, Apalisoc heard those rumors Bertans was in the conversation to start as well. I got to think Becky or someone in the coaching staff was advocating for him and Pop went with the veteran over Bertie ... Let's hope Lee takes advantage of that and doesn't make Pop regret it.
He at least hustles for boards and what not. He shows far more passion and fight than West did. Wasnt that long ago, he would finish around the rim with ease and dunk all over guys. Need more of that
Again. It wasn't the starting lineup that was the problem last game. It was the putrid bench. Everything they touch turns into .
Free Simmons, Bertans, and Murray
Maybe Denmon off bench will bring energy
I love David Lee... yal talking about!?!
Maybe Bretans off the bench with Gasol
Lee can grab a rebound, so I'll take him over West. Gasol is wasted in the starting lineup since he and Aldridge get in each other's ways. Is it really a surprise that Gasol's offense game has blown up ever since being made the sixth man? I have been wanting Gasol as the Spurs sixth man since 2014.
Bingo. Did anyone really think Pop was gonna start a rookie in a pivotal Game 5?
Do want to see Davis get a good chunk of minutes, though. Should be the 4th big off the bench, assuming Dedmon is still under the weather.
West was very good in the regular season last year and collapsed in the playoffs. I sure hope the same doesn't happen to Lee.
You guys really rather have Bonner 2.0?
Currently a -9 and easily the worst impact for any Spurs player
Told you guys
They're praising two people.... Kawhi an Lee!!!
