Looks like he may have made mistake not extending with the Jazz, tbh. Splitter-level of injury proneness this season--which is alarming going forward.
Bargain deal or good luck! I don't want the Spurs to even think about potentially maxing him..
I have a feeling he will be back... plz plz plz

a lot of you wanted him back.
i'm good.
Pass.
With his age and now his health becoming a red flag, he is not a max player even in this market-- more like 14-17 millions $, and even that is risky over 4 years..
i take livingston over hill. never wavered on that.
With Pop loving the out of him, it doesn't matter what we think (not like it mattered either way). Pop and co. will probably go hard after him.
Missing playoffs games with nagging stuff and costing your team in the process...Pass..
Spurs must have a secret stash of cash and know of a hidden loophole that allows them to sign a player to a max contract even if they're well over the salary cap.
Hill even being discussed as a potential max player is sad for the NBA. Ryan Anderson getting $18-22 million is also sad.

Gee what other ways could a team clear up cap space, smart ass?
Yeah, the max for star players should be much higher.
For our sake (and Cleveland's / Golden State's) we should be glad it's not.
The Aldridge max deal looks even more palatable given it was signed a summer before the huge cap jump. I do wonder with the cap plateauing if deals given out last summer will all become albatrosses and more normalcy ensuing in future years. Amazing to me that the NBA and NBAPA didn't fix contracts to each represent a percentage of the cap so they all went up as the cap rose instead of huge jumps benefiting only certain FA classes.
Hill rejected a 88mil 4 year deal. Puts things in perspective.
Looking to sign FA's will be impossible. Guys would have to give up a lot of money to play here. Spurs need to look to the draft as well as develop Murray and Bertans.
Why anyone would consider signing Paul or hill for big money when you have Murray for so cheap just doesn't make sense. Spurs would be upside down with Paul in a few years (if not immediately) and would be average at best paying hill serious money.
You can also go to find an international player that would come for cheap. Teodosic and Campazzo come to mind.
Buddy of mine saw George Hill last night at Hills and Dales.

Why do people want this dude?
Lives here iirc his wife is from here.
He is a solid role player, that can create his own shot.. He has reached his ceiling talent wise, but still this team needs playmakers, and he can at least due that for us.
That fool don't back fown from nobody!
Please no, enough with George Hill.
BC Tony is injured (is he done?)
and you need to pay Patty anyways.
some would rather just pay Georgie and sent Patty on his way. Georgie is a good shooter, better defender, creator, can play both on and off the ball and a legit starter quality guard until Murray is ready... (Patty is not)... need I say more?
He's also a Spur like player.
Everything depends on Pau. If even opts in it's not even a possibility. If Pau does opt out I'm sure PATFO will meet with Hill, given how much Pop loves him.
