This is a Poop thing. Really don't think it's severe. If this is a Game 7 he plays. Just Poop being overcautionary and continuing to throw playoff games.

Oh he's not 100% then he can sit, if we win it adds to my legacy and if we lose it was expected.
This. Absolutely ing livid; if he can play you play him and if Houston is hitting their threes you can sit him out early. Instead you put yourself in a situation where if the Rockets are hitting their threes in Game 7 you're ed. Poo needs to get roasted for this if they lose both games.

It's not the first time he's done this:

I would've loved if Kawhi played we won, and he had extra time to rest for the WCF, but if they lost, it's like a double whammy. I don't blame him for wanting Kawhi not to further bother it, and I think he'd be OK knowing the franchise player didn't injure himself further. Tough call honestly
Duncan ended up having a career-altering injury (as strange as it might seem giving that he was a two-time MVP and an HoFer because of what he did after getting hurt). Kawhi isn't there. Plus, while Kawhi is a young asset, his team's window isn't big at all. I love Leonard on the team, but he's not Tim.

The Rockets could choke harder... lol
Like you I am inclined to stay positive.
Maybe they get unexpected contributions from their roleplayers again. This time it might be Lma, Pau. Who knows? Spurs have nothing to lose with this game. If it's over early... ah well in that case, on to game 7 with hopefully a healthy Kiwi.
Yeah exactly, everything you said is where I'm leaning. Maybe some of the role players step up tonight and LMA and Pau actually dominate for once. If the Spurs get blown out, then move to game seven. At least Kawhi will return rested and in better condition with concerning his ankle. The Spurs have the built-in excuses already if the game gets out of hand, while the Rockets don't have any excuse to lose tonight, especially in a elimination game.

It was the right decision. Facts are facts tho'. But like brooklyn said "...if they lost (playing Kawhi), it's like a double whammy."

I knew some idiot would bring this up. Kawhi's injury is nowhere close to being as severe as what happened to Timmy. Stop justifying absolutely everything this senile got does and think for yourself for a change.

I know he's not Tim , and his window isn't as big. But it's not like he's far from that status as he continues to progress. I think if Houston wins, Pop pulls out all the stops for game 7.

Spurs have to rebound like they have all series and have to not turn it over an inordinate amount of times. HOU is playing a thin rotation so hopefully SA can keep it close then wear them out in the fourth.

Let's hope the Spurs shooters show up on the road.
Kawai plays, Rebounds happen , shooters & Aldridge shows up . Spurs win.

Damn Kawai not playing. That was my dream post.

Simmons has been in hot form. If he hits that open three. Rockets will be in trouble.
