LMA with 6 turnovers, god he couldn't even dribble.

    Murray and Anderson had moments.

    Manu played well

Mills disappeared and Gasol was awful after the 1st quarter.
Agreed. Also kind of a mixed bag was Simmons. There were times I wanted to see more Dijon instead of him bc he was so bad, but he also had his good moments. Lee played well when he played.
Pau was terrible pretty much entire game except a block in the first Q. He drew a foul in the 4th I think but I was very unimpressed with him.

I think the play came right after Simmons's last FT when they came back from TO. wasn't executed well.
Manu got an open dunk, it was clearly the result of the Dubs blocking out the three-point line. So it wasn't a bad play. But it just wasn't what you want to spend your final TO getting.

Yeah, it's pretty pathetic how their egos can't allow them to admit they got lucky. The most unlikeable team in the league without a doubt.

Lee was good in the first half, didn't even play in the second. Why?

I would have done a full-court press on that last Warriors possession anyway, but that's me. I think Pop made a dump decision to call his TO when they were down five. The play they ran after the TO wasn't even a good design, and they really needed it at the end there.
LMA got a good look tbf. Even if he makes it what are the odds they get it done in OT? The key possession was when they couldnt get a rebound up 3 with under 2 mins left. Just horrible luck. Noones fault. They all fought hard.

Fluke start by Golden State, some spurs players didn't resisted the pressure. Manu is Manu, he allways will play good on this kind of situations. I don't know why Pop does not plays Desdemon to let Aldridge and Pau rest

If SA won this one, I saw a legit chance for a 7 game series.

Someone needs to take out Curry or Durant, and I mean end their season. It's what the Dub s deserve.

Proud of the Spurs. They never quit. Not even with less than 1 second left.

He screwed up on that opening play where he gave it to Curry and I think he was toast after that. Should have called TO if you dont have an inbound pass

Very proud of this Spurs team for not giving up.
Agreed. I hardly post but just wanted to put my two cents. A lot of people on here counted the Spurs out before this series even started. I felt the Spurs had exactly what it took to beat this team and it showed in this game. The only reason this game was lost was the lost of Kawhi (and some terrible calls). When Kawhi went down the Spurs looked like they panicked a bit and by the time they gathered themselves it was to late. The media will drool all over GS and how they came back blah, blah, blah but we all know the reason why. The Spurs had an excellent game plan going in and executed it well. Of course they made mistakes here and there as no game is perfect but they showed they had what it takes to beat this team. This was the game they needed to steal because Kawhi will probably not play game 2 being that there is 3 days in between games to give him 5 days rest and they will probably lose that game. GS is on some lucky streak by playing injured teams. Regardless of what people think on here this is a good Spurs team. I tell you one thing GS is breathing a sigh of relief right now, especially when they saw Kawhi walk off the floor.

lol you mean the one where kl didn't set or run off a screen and just stood there? yep that was really the fault of the inbounder

moral victories. This was so heartbreaking and annoying at the same time.
I didn't think I would care this much bc to me from here on out it's gravy but it is indeed heartbreaking bc they had this.

I am concerned how it will affect the team going forward. They have been resilient but this is demoralizing specially with the uncertainty about Kawhis ankle. I feel like if healthy this was winnable but without him and that balky ankle it's not going to be a series.

I'm talking on the last play. Prior to Paddy getting fouled. LMA got a good look for the tie even without any timeouts.

It started in the 3rd quarter before Kawhi got injured and it continued on. He played well outside of that but it was painful to watch along with those turnaround jumpers, if Kawhi can't go then isn't going to be able be nearly as effective as he was tonight.

Liked what I saw out of Lee, Anderson, and Murray. Gasol could go kick rocks.

No he played after that and still played well. I thought that TO was his only mistake in the game. There were far worse guys.

He was playing as a small ball center though if I remember correctly and Pop chose after Kawhi got injured to play LMA as a center and then Pau. He never went back to Lee. just ... unknown.

That was on Kawhi and LMA. They didn't come run to the ball to help him out when Patty was getting pressured. Inexcusable.

He didn't say set play you stupid . He said LMA had a great look and he did. He just choked like the whole game.
