In intelligence different agencies and groups are responsible for specific tasks as intelligence gathering and cultivating relationships is an arduous, long term task. When new people step into senior positions they ARE NOT FULLY AWARE of all the nuisances of what the working intelligence officers are doing. What has happened is a specific working group read the minutes of the meeting and said "holy , they just compromised our source and did not even know it." This is really bad. The press catches wind of the terror going through the agencies who have spent so much time and trust in credibility building.
This is what happens with amateurs and people who have been quickly thrust into jobs and have not had time to assimilate everything we are involved in. This is why keeping good people on the job is sometimes crucial, even if they don't sign a pledge of total commitment to the president and only the president. This is what happens when you have a sloppy, lazy ass president who has gotten away with huge mistakes in business.
This is a Fckn democracy. We pledge to the Nation and ideas, not to a single person.
So TSA, this will be your fallback line. Remember the following because you will most likely need it:
