Seems to have completely fallen off several mocks
A potential defense-oriented point guard with length. His offense will just be a bonus. KL and DG, if he's still there, can focus on other threats. After familiarizing on spurs set plays, he can already be serviceable. Hope we get him at 55 or trade 26 for two early 2nd rounders.
Seems to have completely fallen off several mocks
Still on the DX mock at #45, which was updated to exclude a couple notable international prospects (Kaba, Luwawu), so I think he's still in. And if he's still in then he's a sleeper pick for the late first round.
He will withdraw, according to his agent and multiple sources.
Man from a first round pick to not even being listed in some mocks that was fast.
Smart move to withdraw after falling. He can be a 1st round pick solely on his physical attributes.
Well if the NBA, he can still live off the movie royalties
Anyone know if he has worked out for the spurs?
He interviewed with them, but I don't know if he did individual workouts with teams tbqh. He was one of the youngest, if not the youngest draft-eligible player that initially declared, so he'll be back next year. Lots of international prospects go this route to get their names out there for 1-2 years down the road. Alpha Kaba and Timothe Luwawu were much the same. None were ready for the big leagues, but they will all likely reap the benefits of exposure to the process.
Did he declare for this draft after pulling out last year? If so, those physical tools are very intriguing
I don't see him listed in any of the mocks that I saw. He may not be in this year either.
He is listed at 51st in next year's mock draft at draftexpress. As a second round pick it would be a no brainer. Going by the development trajectory of fellow Brazlians Caboclo and Nogueira (who were picked much higher) he probably won't put on an NBA uniform until 2020 if at all.
Apparently kept his name in the draft. DX's latest mock draft has him going 60th.
I'd take a flier. Dude is like Livio in the sense that he's not going to get better outside the Spurs' system. Give him a two-way contract.
Was interested in what happened to this cat. He was showing promise a few years ago. Guessing he hasnt progressed much since then and is still incredibly raw.
Here is pretty detailed breakdown of his game: https://medium.com/@GabrielAndPaula/...la-9a345d7908c
It seems that he still struggles with a lot of the same issues as two years ago. I think he goes undrafted but I wouldn't mind bringing him over to Austin.
I'd use 59 on him and feel good about it, especially if the team uses 29 on a big
Moved up to 49 on latest DX mock. Really want this dude to fall to us in the 2nd.
I was surprised to see that. It's like they had forgotten about him. Only thing I can think of besides that is that he got a promise this time around.
A bit more positive (less detailed) take in this report compared to the other one.
The force is strong with this one.
