Sure - but that's not the point. The point is if DEMS see that no one votes for their candidate (that they were already told was not the candidate DEM voters wanted) maybe they get the message.

Either way, with your vote or not, Trump is in office. At least the people you are throwing such mighty stones at are by in large ashamed they voted for Trump. You and other DEMS don't seem ashamed at all and you should be.

Idealogues are always the biggest dumb s.

Given that voter turnout was for the dems and they not only lost the POTUS but also both chambers any message that would be sent should have been.

Meanwhile the Dems changed leadership or policy in what way?

They did elevate Warren to a leadership post but last time I checked Pelosi and Schumer were still up top and they picked an establishment candidate for DNC chair.

If you really want to make systemic change then rather than a protest vote in an election where the denominator is 10s of millions and a 5 figure donation is the minimum amount for a candidate to even pay attention, perhaps try finding out who your DNC delegate and county chair is and start working them.

Unfortunately most people don't know what district they are or who their rep is much less who those people are at the grass roots.

Ok. Again, explain logically, what will force your party to change from running the Hillary's of the world out when you vote for her still. This loss is not doing it. Both the DEM supporters and people in power STILL seem to miss the boat on why they lost.

, even you admit you are pissed at what they did AND YOU STILL VOTED.
You really are trolling me. I already explained I would have voted against her and for fat bas if a Trump win would have meant a divided government. I voted for her because your not a real vote candidate would have a friendly congress to implement his upon being elected, which he does.

That is very true. I agree 100%. Vote local. Put pressure on local government and start there. That still doesn't change, IMO, the overall issues with the DEM party and their voters (and why Trump is in office now).

Ok, sorry, I honestly know it's confusing, but I'm not saying "you" as in the "you" sense. I'm talking in general about DEM voters and those literally crying "I'm with her "

Also, what's funny about your last sentence is that literally nothing is being done. What is Trump actually implementing ? His own party hates him.

I'm not singling anyone out. Hillary is who DEMS ran and she's the face of corruption in politics. Trump is crooked as is much of the REP party. They all are for the most part.

What does that have to do with being part of the problem and continuing to turn out and vote for them? Why would DEMS change what they are doing when they know you will just shut up and vote D no matter what they do or who they run?

Claiming she is the face of corruption is not singling someone out? smh

Part of what problem? Does your dumb ass think that a protest vote makes one lick of a difference to what either party's leadership does? I just explained ot you how the message should have been sent given the outcome and they did not do anything and what do you do? Blithely double down. Dumb like that is the problem.

BTW, I voted libertarian. Voting dem in Texas in the general has been a waste of time for 50 years.

She's being discussed because that is who DEMS inexplicably ran and rigged things for. That's why Trump won. People pretty much said "we are tried of crooked career politicians" and they trotted out the poster child for that (whether you agree or not).

And yes, a major protest vote does make a difference. Now DEMS have the talking point "we didn't do anything wrong, we won the popular vote!!! See, we are awesome! We got cheated ".

Yeah that is why Cruz, Rubio, and Ryan defend him routinely and they try to further his agenda in lockstep?

You claim to be talking about democratic voters in general. Well voter turnout was and what you claim was the means to a substantive end did not happen. You are just talking out of your ass. Ideology is bad enough but when you disregard empirical facts to the contrary you're just an imbecile.

Ok, I can also cite much discord within his own party. Is your argument that there is some united front within the REP party surrounding Trump and that he's just going to pass through a bunch of crap?

Because nothing I have seen to date makes that seem true, but maybe I'm wrong.

Nah - they are clinging to the "Russia cheated us, we won the popular vote" as a means to justify what they did.

Um, the many voters that polls showed were not happy with Trump even though they voted for him both pre & post election.
In the latest Gallup poll Trump's job approval rating among republicans is 83% after this disgrace of a presidency. So I don't buy that Trump voters aren't happy with Trump.

They lost the POTUS and both chambers and the substantive difference you have to present is a talking point? You really think they are sitting in on strategy meetings and are rationalizing using that talking point?

They respond to big money donations and that is about it. That is true for the entirety of the federal oligarchy nowadays. You just strike me as incredibly naive.

Maybe so. Don't mistake me pointing out the hypocrisy of people throwing stones at REP as not understanding the way things are. That doesn't mean I have to like it nor does it mean that I have to do things the same way it's always been done.

I dont see what's funny? If I was told someone was going to rob me and I still showed up that that place, I could see the analogy being funny.

That's not the way the world works, sometimes you have to choose between the lesser of two evils. Now we're stuck with a psychopath as president because of people who think like you.

It's funny how REP are to blame or people who abstained from voting (myself) but not DEMS for running Hillary.

It's also funny to me, as much as people want to bash "ideology", that people use the crutch of "this is how it is". Imagine if that was always the case. Nothing wrong would ever be fixed. Eventually, things either burn to the ground or the issue gets corrected.

The world is not always, nor should it be, lesser of two evils.

Does your dumb ass really think that Clinton is "far left."

What does that make Sanders? Karl Marx reincarnate?
Clearly im smarter than your dumbass. Hillary went far left because of Bernie. Duh or did you not pay attention to the primaries? And her strategy in the general was run out the clock, not run to the middle.

They gave Obama a Nobel Peace Prize within weeks of being elected - before he had a chance to do anything. Anything.
They were calling for Trump to be impeached within weeks of being elected - before he had a chance to do anything. Anything.

There are some people involved in this thread that I like. A few that I even respect. And that includes people who totally disagree with me. But damn. People loved Obama before he did anything, and hated Trump before he did anything. Those same people loved Trump before he did anything, and hated Obama before he did anything. It's all smoke and mirrors. Keep people fighting in the front yard, while they sneak around the back and steal the laundry.

What is it with conservatives thinking that pointing out that other people do it too means the stupid they do is okay? I'm not sure what hypocrisy you think you have pointed out but it does occur to me that you lack the instinct that not all people look at things like you do. BB spelled out to you several times exactly what his calculus was and you blithely carried on anyway.

I really must say is you have an extremely binary oversimplified way of viewing things and lack a shred of nuance. That combined with your penchant for eating up talking points, slogans, and sound bites denotes a lack of independent thinking for all of your claims about not doing "the same way it's always been done."
