Wasn't it between the Suns and the Spurs and free agency? And if LMA takes care of his body he still has 4-5 good seasons left in him.
Yes, but reality and Chandler's old body sunk in. Now it's about getting younger and better. If you had a young team, would you want a 30 year old former star or a lottery pick that could be a superstar? Now if you were looking to contend, LMA maybe makes more sense.

    3 team deal.

aldridge to suns, porzingis to spurs, picks to knicks
No way we are that lucky... IF we were to get into that 3 way it would look more like Porzingus to the suns, 4th pick to NY, LMA to NY and the 8th to the Spurs.

Don't think Kawhi would try and Bynum him, tbh.
If it's behind closed doors, what wrong with that? You don't think Pop went to Timmy about other players? Kobe ratted about Bynum to two teenagers on with a cell phone. But at least Bynum played like he cared about winning and losing. LMA plays like he's thinking about what he's gonna eat after the game.

    Kawhi wants to win.

To get the #5 pick, Spurs would need to take on Knight's contract. Awful imo.

I would love to know the answer to this.
Love to say yes, but how do you explain Bonner starting 5 playoff games in a row?
    Mike Finley 2008-9-10?
Man From Nazr and Tall Balls being benched in favor of small balls with Mike Finley at the PF on Dork to torpedo the 2006 back to back grasp?

You do that in a second if you can get that #4 pick and flip it to NY for Porzingod.

    This.

    A scoring threat-guard? A penetrating guard or a shooter? Or a playmaker?
    Luke. Kennard. Book it

But you may have to take back the Noah contract...

that. If teams like the Hornets and Pacers weren't in love with white American players or teams scrambling to get three point shooters, this guy might drop out of the top 20.

    Spurs can do better.

So Knight and 4 for LMA and 29? Then 4 and Green for Porz? That will give us about 10mil in spare space.

It would be beyond incompetence if Phil couldn't move that contract by attaching it to Porzingis, tbh

This draft is the most unfandamental and overhyped draft yet. Kennard is the best player in here.

But the top 10 prospects are practically set and Kennard isn't one of them. If the Spurs are in fact trying to move into the top 10, drafting Kennard would be a failure.

Any rational discussion of Bonner is off the table. We all know he was Pops lover boy.

Fin was the first somewhat big free agent that chose the Spurs. And dude at least played like he wanted win, and they actually want a championship with him.

The problem with LMA is his nonchalant at ude and reluctance to step up in big games, consistently, in the playoffs. He's a completely different animal.

Then make NYK take Knight's. The Spurs would have a hard time making Noah + Knight + Porzingis work under the cap only unloading Softridge.

Gasol, LMA, Green, and Simmons for Melo and Porzingis. Do it now.

We're talking top 10 here and Kennard isn't among the top ten. Kennard isn't their guy.
