Trump’s “Deal” With Carrier To Save American Jobs Just Blew Up In His Face

The earth moved under his feet, alright, but now Carrier, a division of the United Technologies Corp. conglomerate, is moving the jobs south of the U.S. border anyway.

It turns out the shift to Mexico is not “very, very difficult” as Trump promised.

All 600 of workers who were assured by Trump their jobs are safe are being laid off as soon as next month, and

the $16 million that Carrier promised to invest is going to be used mainly to further automation efforts that will eliminate future positions.

Carrier said that they will still have about 800 employees in Indiana, but those are almost all engineering and administrative positions which were never in jeopardy.

The Carrier announcement comes only days after another embarrassment for Trump. He had heralded a deal with Ford to keep production of its small car the Focus in the U.S. after it had been ticketed to move to Mexico. Trump had used the threat of new tariffs or taxes on Ford if it dared to move the jobs.

Two days ago Ford said it is not moving the jobs to Mexico. Instead, all Focus production will move to China, which is much worse for American workers.

Trash and his opiod solution for his white supporters? Repug tax-cut (health) plan cuts $$ for drug treatment

Opioids, a Mass Killer We’re Meeting With a Shrug

About as many Americans are expected to die this year of drug overdoses as died in the Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan wars combined.

For more than 100 years, death rates have been dropping for Americans — but now, because of opioids, death rates are rising again.

We as a nation are going backward, and drug overdoses are now the leading cause of death for Americans under 50.

Trump Just Accidentally Trolled Himself On Twitter

President Trump bragged that he signed 38 pieces of legislation during the first five months of his pregnancy, he has actually signed 39.

Fifteen of those “laws” are resolutions that express disapproval of Obama-era protections for the earth, government employees, and students.

    Six modify existing programs,

five are related to personnel, and

another five encourage agencies to try different things — like modernizing government travel for example.

And those are the relative biggies.

Of the remaining seven “Legislative Bills” signed by President Trump,

five names things, like the “Fred D. Thompson Federal Building,”

two extend policies of President Barack Obama, and

one continued to fund the government at previous levels.

In other words, Trump has yet to sign a single significant piece of legislation.

at this point in his Presidency, Obama had

signed the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act,

expanded the State Children’s Health Insurance Program,

    saved the US auto industry,

enacted a stimulus that helped prevent a second Great Depression — just for starters.

He was also well on his way to insuring more Americans than at any point in our nation’s history and

turning the worst financial crisis in generations into the longest period of economic growth ever.

    Clearly,

Trump is going for quan y over quality, but the number 38 is no more impressive than his inauguration turnout.

New Lawsuit Accuses Trump of 'Destroying Essential Historical Records'

"The American people not only deserve to know how their government is making important decisions, it's the law,"

A new lawsuit accuses President Donald Trump and White House staff of illegally destroying presidential records.

A pair of watchdog organizations, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) and the National Security Archive (NSA), filed the suit Thursday a federal district court to challenge actions by the White House "that seek to evade transparency and government accountability" and appear to violate the Presidential Records Act.

That law, passed in the wake of the Watergate scandal, requires that the offices of the president and vice president preserve records and make them accessible to the public.

"Yet, the evidence to date suggests that President Trump and others within the White House are either ignoring or outright flouting these responsibilities," the complaint (pdf) states, citing Trump's use of Twitter and reports of White House staff use of the encrypted messaging application Signal, which can auto-delete messages, as well as another encrypted messaging app, Confide, which deletes chats after they're read. The complaint continues:

From early on in this Administration, White House staff have used and, on information and belief, continue to use certain email messaging applications that destroy the contents of messages as soon as they are read, without regard to whether the messages are presidential records.

Presidential statements made on Twitter sent from the President's personal Twitter account, which are subject to federal record-keeping obligations, have been destroyed.

The President also has implied that he is secretly tape-recording some or all conversations with Administration officials, and it is unclear if these tapes are being preserved.

And there is at least one news report that, when the ongoing congressional and FBI investigations were disclosed, White House aides purged their phones of potentially compromising information.

These practices violate the Presidential Records Act.

"The American people not only deserve to know how their government is making important decisions, it's the law," CREW executive director Noah Bookbinder said in a press statement. "By deleting these records, the White House is destroying essential historical records."

6 signs Trump’s legislative agenda is dead

From infrastructure to tax cuts to the Pentagon, the president can't get things done

    1. Unpopular health care agenda

The CBO has yet to “score” the Senate bill — analyze its fiscal and practical effects. And Trump is absent.

    2. Receding tax bill

The plan was to have a tax bill on Trump’s desk by the end of the summer.

That’s not happening, as Washington billionaire David Rubenstein recently let slip at a hedge fund conference in Las Vegas.
“No one here should assume you’re gonna get a big tax cut soon,” the co-founder of the Carlyle Group told the disappointed crowd. “For those who are looking for relief from Congress, you should look elsewhere.”

If Trump is not delivering on tax cuts for his base in the 1 percent, he is also not delivering on job creation for his working-class supporters.

    3. Vanishing jobs plans

. Trump never attempted to persuade the public or congressional leaders about the border adjustment tax proposal, probably because he didn’t understand it.

It is safe to say that the Trump administration will not be using the tax code to stimulate domestic manufacturing or create American jobs.

Nor will Trump propose a trillion-dollar infrastructure jobs program,

Trump ignored them all in favor of announcing the revival of Republican proposal to privatize the air traffic control system. This reform would not create any new jobs. His infrastructure plan was more a privatization scam.

    4. Lack of discipline

“around the fact that Trump’s proposed budget would cut DOL [Department of Labor] funding for training and employment services by 36 percent and the Education Department’s grants to help states pay for career and technical education by 15 percent. Trump’s proposed DOL budget does increase funding for apprenticeship grants, but only by one percent.”

    5. Lack of personnel

Three months into his presidency, Trump had not filled 85 percent of the senior jobs in his government. This may all be part of Bannon’s plan to “dismantle the administrative state.” The fact that 85 percent of science job openings don’t even have a nominee is surely an expression of hostility to science.

But Trump can’t even fill the jobs he wants to fill.

President Obama was three times faster at filling top jobs, according to a recent ABC News report.

Of the 151 nominees that have been announced and sent to the Senate, only 43 have been confirmed
    .

In contrast, Obama had 151 nominees confirmed by this point, with Senate review and approval taking on average 32 days for each of them.

President Trump has yet to nominate anyone for 74 percent of key executive branch positions, according to Business Insider.

Out of the 558 positions that require Senate confirmation, 415 have no nominee as of this week.

    6. Lack of results

known as the “in two weeks” government,

“Trump’s habit of self-imposing — then missing — two-week deadlines for major announcements has become a staple of his administration as it’s struggled to amass policy wins.”

    =========
    In his 1987 book,

Trump also warned about the perils of over-promising and not delivering.

“You can’t con people, at least not for long.

You can create excitement, you can do wonderful promotion and get all kinds of press, and you can throw in a little hyperbole,” he wrote.

“But if you don’t deliver the goods, people will eventually catch on.”

The White House Just Responded To An Official Request From Congress With Trump Tweets

Just when it seems like he’s run out of options,

Trump finds a new way to utterly demean the office of the president.

His inane, unhinged tweets are now an official part of the presidential historical record.

Former CIA Analyst Just Revealed Why Trump’s Twitter Feed Is A National Security Threat

The Washington Post published a shocking story this afternoon, exposing how Trump’s tweets going back years and years have provided foreign intelligence services unprecedented insights into our commander in chief’s mind.

Even more chilling: they are likely analyzing his twitter history for patterns and tendencies to build a personality profile that they can use to their advantage.

“Trump’s Twitter feed is a gold mine for every foreign intelligence agency,” author and former CIA analyst Nada Bakos, explains.

“Usually, intelligence officers’ efforts to collect information on world leaders are methodical, painstaking and often covert. With Trump,” she continues, “secret operations are not necessary to understand what’s on his mind: The president’s unfiltered thoughts are available night and day, broadcast to his 32.7 million Twitter followers immediately and without much obvious mediation by diplomats, strategists or handlers.”

now we’re learning that the prolific ‘tweeter of the free world’ may be posing a serious problem for the many agencies tasked with protecting us from national security threats.

At the CIA, Bakos reveals, agents constantly ask a series of questions about foreign leaders, and we can be certain that other countries are asking those same questions about Trump. “Who is he as a person?,” she writes. “What type of leader is he? How does that compare to what he strives to be or presents himself as? What can we expect from him? And how can we use this insight to our advantage?”

To answer these questions, intelligence officers spend untold man hours and resources gathering and reading old newspaper clippings; sifting through biographical data and resumes, often in foreign languages; scouring old foreign news coverage; and even researching past business associates and childhood friends.

The CIA even places spies in harms way just to gain a little bit more insight into these and other questions, all to create solid psychological profiles that help us navigate conflicts and sensitive negotiations on a whole range of topics.

“Trump’s tweets offer plenty of material for analysis,” Bakos clearly states. “His frequent strong statements in reaction to news coverage or events make it appear as if he lacks impulse control.”

“In building a profile of Trump, an analyst would offer suggestions on how foreign nations could instigate stress or deescalate situations, depending on what type of influence they may want to have over the president.”

It appears this profiling is already well underway.

“If I were an intelligence analyst for Saudi Arabia,” Bakos suggests, “I might suggest that the authoritarian government there should compel newspapers to write articles friendly to Trump… and I would certainly suggest that Saudi officials flatter him in person.”

As if on cue, Saudi media lavished praise on First Lady Melania Trump’s fashion sense during the visit. Saudi officials even ordered billboards to display Trump‘s image and words in places Trump would be certain to see them. What was in it for them, you may be asking? The headline as the President left Riyadh was the controversial $100+ Billion arms deal he pledged to the Saudis.

more FRAUD and LIES from Trash's family

Will Melania Trump actually speak up about online bullying? Or was the whole thing just more first-family PR?

The White House website still states, after an exhaustive list of her modeling achievements and honorary designations, that “Mrs. Trump cares deeply about issues impacting women and children, and

she has focused her platform as First Lady on the problem of cyber bullying among our youth.”

But after months of silence on the matter, Politico reported earlier this month that a White House official said

her initiative against cyber bullying had been “cast aside”:

Her spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, claimed Melania Trump is still passionate about the issue,

even though she has yet to highlight it in any public appearance.

“While cyber-bullying is something she speaks out against, that is but one subset of her focus around the overall wellness of children,” Grisham said in an email.

    http://www.salon.com/2017/06/24/will...yber-bullying/

Married as arm-candy/trophy-wife to a piece of less bully, but she's supposed to be against bullying?

btw, has anybody seen Melania's teeth, does that EVER smile, and has modeling engraved a bitter, pinched, squinting scowl on her face forever? Talk about RBF, she's got one.

Trump’s Scheme To Privatize Air Traffic Control Just Blew Up In His Face

Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee Chair John Thune (R-SD) told the Hill’s Melanie Zanona that the provision was a non-starter and would not be included in any Senate legislation this year.

“We don’t have the votes to pass that in our committee at the moment,” Thune said.

With the proposal getting panned by virtually all sides — from pilots and travelers who believed it would increase the cost of travel to people in remote communities who could lose connection guarantees currently offered to rural airports — Trump relied on shallow propaganda to justify

his attempt to funnel tax dollars into the private sector.

Many Americans have become accustomed to President Trump’s lies. But as regular as they have become, the country should not allow itself to become numb to them.

So we have catalogued nearly every outright lie he has told publicly since taking the oath of office.

Shouldn't something be done about this opioid overdosing from the medical end? I have a heart murmur and for decades (except when I was pregnant and refused), the doctors recommended antibiotics before every dental cleaning (any procedure where there might be bleeding) - resulting in yeast infections (sorry, guys). They finally stopped this rubbish (over medication, covering their behinds) a few years back. But they give the suped up Tylenonl and Percocet for (natural) child bearing, dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, etc - unnecessary if you ask me.

Delusional Donald: Trump is SHOCKED By Poll That Asks Whether People Believe Trump or Comey?'

The latest example is an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll that asked "Who are you more likely to believe, former FBI Director James Comey or Trump?" According the pollsters:

"By a 2-to-1 margin, Americans say they are more likely to believe former FBI Director James Comey than President Donald Trump when it comes to their differing accounts of events that led up to Comey's firing, according to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

"Forty-five percent of respondents say they are more likely to believe Comey's version of events from his June 8 testimony to the U.S. Senate, versus 22 percent who are more likely to believe what Trump has said."

A deeper dive into the poll has even worse news for Trump. For instance, when broken down by party affiliation,

only fifty percent of Republicans said they believe Trump. ( 50% STILL believe him? )

Also, his overall disapproval shot up eight points since last month.

So a plurality of the American people believe Comey over Trump.

And Trump himself says that Comey has been telling the truth.

So why is the President still so surprised by the public's reaction?

Why does he still think it's the media's fault rather than his own compulsive lying?

Why is he in such an acute state of denial?
