Ya, it's funny how many Spurs fans are in denial and acting like they don't know how this organization operates..
he did have a tough guy personality... that pop didn't like by the way.
Loyalty is a crutch and It's been known to bring big businesses crumbling to the ground. They don't owe anyone anything.
I know a guy who worked in the marketing department in Orlando when Dedmon was with the Magic. He said Dedmon was the worst and most insufferable athlete he worked with. FWIW, he said Oladipo was awesome.
Sweet! Another playoff choker.
The dubs team will cost a lot more. It won't be felt until a year after next though.
Kawhi packing his bags as we speak.![]()
and without another playmaker outside of Kawhi, Korver would shoot 30% from three with the Spurs.
They've been loyal, and made it to the WCF last season, in which they got hit with the injury bug.
These guys will never fully rebuild anytime soon IMO. They "rebuilt" on the fly years ago, and the trade for Kawhi sprung this team back into serious contention. They'll do whatever is necessary to stay compe ive, but I just don't believe they'll ever like just have all young/inexperienced guys out there in hopes of landing a lottery pick.
I also don't believe they'll sit back and waste Kawhi's best years, and expect them to make some moves this summer.
Worst name ever. Geez
His name is going to get furkan butchered by announcers.
I hope so, but all signs point to sticking with the status-quo. They'll stay loyal to TP, Manu, Gasol, and look like they're stuck with Aldridge. They'll win 60 games and lose to the Warriors, and I think they're okay with that.
actually if we are real, most lobs to him were Davis, Kyle, and Dijon. He got more lobs playing with that group than he did with the starters... thus why he was a non factor, though Tony threw him some lobs when he first made the starting lineup, but then he stopped. Mills can't playmake if we are real, his pass will probably be deflected.. he comes of a screen to shoot.
where's everyone who hated my idea of trading parker the past two seasons?
haven't seen anyone defend his contract now.
it's not hard having foresight. well, for some of you it is.
I said a. While ago the spurs were interested in korver but mods smdh.
Did you predict his playoffs run?
C'mon, Brett. Why pay $18M/yr for a white American, when you can have a slight downgrade for $10M/yr in Green.
Just gotta give us Covington and Holmes
I take all these " Spurs interested in" with a Kilogram of salt
I have my doubts. The Spurs Like shooters, but a 36 year old....with lots of other needs
They can't really sign anyone of note if they don't move someone. The Korvers of the league are likely the only guys they can chase unless they find some no-name diamond in the rough.
That's it for me until July 1st. Tired of hearing all these rumors, none of which have been positive on the spurs front.
Ok. See ya tonight.
smh What could've been. He actually wasn't completely terrible.
I'll give them credit for lucking out with Leonard but without him, they're a bottom feeder. This is the 90s all over again. I don't expect Kawhi sticking it out long term if the Spurs can't make significant upgrades to this roster.
Also, Gasol opting out and signing long term with the Spurs isn't the kind of move you make if the Spurs are planning to sit back and pay off some loyalty for the next year. That has the potential to be s disastrous flexibility crusher ahead of next year's free agency. Signing a guys like Simmons and Paddy to multi year mega deals based on market value would also destroy the Spurs future flexibility.
