What does it matter that Livingston took a substantial paycut to Patty's value if other teams are willing to offer more? 8 million per isn't Livingston's market value, its what he took to stay on a super team.
Livingston doesn't mean nearly as much to the Warriors as Mills does to the Spurs. Warriors wouldn't miss a beat without him. Iggy would hurt them.

It matters because Livingston is a comparable player (who I think is actually better). SL's contract sets the market. Paying 50% less for him for a year less shows how ty this new Patty deal is. Also, why is SL taking a pay cut vs. the spurs overpaying patty?

Plus, why are they tying more long term money up? This makes no sense with 2018.

Plan now should be to re-up Pau for this $16 Million on a one-year deal, offer Hanga the LLE if the min doesn't work for some reason and use the MLE on a new starting center.
When Pau opted out, there was already a re-up deal with Pau. He wasn't taking a pig in a poke to opt out.

, the Warriors really are the best. They're going for the versatile wings with size.

Spurs going for the useless ing midgets. Wow. Can't believe they're bringing Mills back. Ask to go to Goldenstate, Kawhi. Sign and trade for Iguodala. If the Spurs want Iggy sign and trade him for Kawhi. Spurs LOVE age, not youth. Love midgets, not wings with size.

Surprised you're still replying. Shouldn't you be on NBA.com buying some gear for whichever team you're going to bandwagon?

    "I'm done"
I've always been a Spurs fan, nice try though fat boy.

Should be obvious. Nowhere to go but up.

    The future looks bright.
Watch him shoot 20% against them next year.

Sources: George Hill, Spurs discussions broke off. Denver and New York have so far made initial contact with Hill, one of top PGs on market.

Yep, some people here said it was most likely an RJ type of deal.

Please please please sign Rudy Gay. He's a high usage chucked who hasn't been good in years. Nowhere near Iggy defensively. And he's coming off an Achilles injury.
Exactly. Lol, just what GS needs, a player to take shots away from Curry, Durant and Thompson. Derrrrr, ok.

Yes, but rather than a longer deal, they can give him his original deal and save future cap space.

A guy re-upping with a championship team is not setting a market.

Livingston taking a discount to resign and play for the champs is not “setting the market.”

Poor, poor Chinook... you're living in a fantasy land if you think Gasol is signing a one year deal.
Not really. Pau can take his option back or off. Best-case scenario was him walking in the first place.

Sure, if Pau will go for opting back in to,his same deal. I don't see why not; however I have never heard of such a thing.
