Decent counters by tgy. Got her on the ropes.

Not a fair fight though. She doesn't have that "nasty" as pop says. Seems too nice to win a street fight or mudslinging contest.

We have butted heads for sure. But I give it to ya. You got that nastiness.
    She's a he.

But won't they have enough players under contract?

Kawhi, Green, LMA, Bertans, Murray, Parker, Anderson, Mills = 8

MLE, LLE, White, Blossomgate, Gasol = 13

Add in Miluntov and Simmons and you're full. I don't see Forbes on roster if it gets filled out otherwise.

Not now. But Chinook is calculating for the luxury tax.
Gasol and Aldridge the only bigs unless they also bring an untested Milutinov?

Kawhi deserves so much ing better. smfh
What kind of level of naive do people have to be to think Kyle Anderson won't get paid? they just gave a no D playing, broken down jump shooter who can't create his own shot and couldn't run an NBA offense to save his life 4 years and 50M. If Paddy's worth 50M, gotta think the FO values Kyle at around 75M because at least he can pass and knock down open jump shots.

RC Buford is pinning the Spurs championship hopes on a one trick pony that's all tricked out and on the word of a 34 year old pg coming off a ruptured quad who says he'll be better than ever when he returns. You can't make this up.

Love how people complained about this being a one man team all season last year, but 3 quarters of playing well against a rusty GS suddenly means we're going to perpetually be in the mix to win.
All while, other teams have made leaps. Warriors have a core & role players who can play both ends and that can still improve...

    McCaw will be better
    Klay will be better
    Throw in Jordan Bell
Draymond is barely hitting his prime
KD & Curry will remain 2 of the top 5 players in the NBA

    OKC got Paul George
    Rockets got CP3

Spurs may lose their 3rd best wing defender & scorer for the same money they spent to retain one dimensional midget that can shoot.

Mills cant get any better -- hes reached his peak.

    Pau/ LA will regress further.

    Parker will be done.
Green is on a slight decline..

A Murray & Kawhi leap is the only hope for this team to see the WCSF and if they do...theres too much dead weight to carry past the WCSF.

Im still waiting for the Pau 3 yr deal...

Spurs are going to be worse especially if Simmons walks & Manu retires. And they wasted their 1st round pick on a 4th string PG..with Bell, Hart & Bolden on the board.

What's going on right now is pretty close to the scenario I laid out in my TT salary thread: (http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=266699)

Differences so far is that the tax line is $3 Million lower than projected and that Pau has opted out. Also replace Lee and Dedmon with the LLE and MLE, respectively.

This is what the projected salary chart looks like:

    Name 2017-18
    LaMarcus Aldridge $21,461,010
    Kawhi Leonard $18,868,625
    Tony Parker $15,453,126
    Patty Mills $11,160,714
    Danny Green $10,000,000
    Kyle Anderson $2,151,704
    Tim Duncan (stretched) $1,881,250
    Milutinov $1,832,075
    Derrick White $1,697,225
    Jonathan Simmons (QO) $1,676,735
    Dejounte Murray $1,312,611
    Davis Bertans $1,312,611
    Bryn Forbes $1,312,611
    Livio Jean-Charles (waived) $1,035,200
    Jaron Blossomegame $815,615
    MLE $8,406,000
    LLE $3,290,000
    Calculated Total $103,667,112
    Luxury Tax: $119,266,000
    Room Under Tax: $15,598,888

The upshot of this is that the Spurs have $17.3 Million to split between Simmons and Gasol in order to stay under the tax. Assuming Simmons gets a first-year salary of the MLE, Gasol would have to sign a deal with an FYS of $8.87. That puts them in the $18M/2 or $28M/3 range. No using one or both of the exceptions would give the team much-needed breathing room -- especially long-term. But with there still being at least one hole in the rotation, they probably should look for help. They could also continue to stash Milutinov, but I don't think that would make any sense. You don't want to risk him having a good year and pulling a Bogdanovic.
Holy , what an abhorrent roster.

Don't forget a 40 year old pretending that he doesn't know that he's coming back just to get more cash, a 36 year old/ 7 foot vagina named Pau, a fat discontent in LMA, and a bow-legged ever declining "3-n-D" player who forces us to play 4-on-5 on offense. "lmao

Kawhi and Murray are literally the only guys on this team with heart that can BACK UP their fire with their game (not counting Manu because we shouldn't rely on a 40 year old to run the bench O because Fatty can't). They look to be the only bright spots next year unless Fathead Jr. and Blossomgame suddenly break out and make Pop bench his favorites.

If only. Too bad Patty was re-upped to take crucial developmental time away only for Murray to lose it all once Porker comes back. ...That or Porker comes back and Patty slides to shooting guard...

Dumb tattoo and saying imo. It's not even technically accurate. Where is the ' or a. It's a better tattoo than no regerts, but I wouldn't venture to call that cool.

He's not signing with the Spurs for that amount, though, that's what people here don't seem to understand..Livingston was never going to take a cheap deal to join SA, either

Spurs don't have any long-term assets outside of the 29th pick in the 2016 draft and SA is an undesirable location..shouldn't have signed Mills, though, and would be disastrous if they get Gay IMO..
Kyle Anderson is an asset. He's improving every day of every year and did you see the series against Golden State? He was the best player on the floor. I could go on and on but I won't. He's also about to get paid. Doesn't the league value high upside potential these days?

Also, remember when I told you the Spurs should sell high on Danny Green after the 2015 season because he was one of the few remaining assets the team had and you practically in my coffee by telling me how outrageous it was to trade away the best 3 and D guy in the league? Good times.

His contract is still reasonable though, in a useless sort of way. If the Spurs want to give him away, I'm sure a team would take him for a future second.

After Gasol, the Spurs will be committing about $80,000,000 with only 3 true NBA starters. And 2 of them have sucked recently.

    Grim business ..

They believed their own hype with last year's team.. Wish Kawhi stayed healthy and Golden State still backdoor-swept them so they can see the light..Or maybe they would have still not..
