This could be why Spurs aren't in a rush to sign guys. Money drying up across the league and there will be good contracts. Good contracts can always be flipped.

Next offseason should be even more of a bargain with teams having significant space using it up this summer. I know crop isn't stellar, but totally serviceable.
    Very solid point.

CAme here to post the same basically. There should be a lot of steals. Spurs can pretty much have their pick of the litter. Need that MLE.

Been super quiet on the Simmons, Dedmon front. Can't be getting more than the MLE now right.

Some of the contracts are insane. Usually are, but like GSW is going to pay a fortune in a couple years and Houston will be in a world of hurt, etc.

On top of Simmons and Dedmon, with money drying up you have out there:

    Brandon Bass
    Bogdanovic
    Gallinari
    Ilyasova
    McLemore
    Motiejunas
    Speights
    Porter (restricted)
    Waiters

I am hoping Simmons will come back down to earth on his expectations. I doubt Spurs pay him more than Mills so his price in the Spurs is set.

Hard to imagine that Simmons would get offers substantially more than the Spurs' offer when George Hill is now begging. (Not to compare Hill and JSimms as players...)

Simmons, Evans, or Waiters? Lol Simmons waiting to get paid with all these names on the board. Better sign for 9 per before it turns to like 5 per

Well Spurs seem to be getting combo players instead of guys that just play one position. In that sense, Hill works as he can play and guard ones and twos. But given their roster of combo guards, I don't think they sign any more guards unless it's on the cheap. I think they will give Parker a chance to reestabish himself. I think they will be looking at guys that can play 2,3, and 4 and then an athletic big for the 4 and 5.

If I were the Spurs, I'd just sign Ben McLemore.

And he would be cheaper and probably be the same off the bench Simmons
