At the apologists twisting my comment. All I said was, Young's a more difficult cover for Mills than Clark/McCaw, because he's a plus 3-point shooter (who'll now mostly take wide open spot up ones), with size. Somehow, this is being interpreted as him swinging a match-up between the two teams.

I say it somewhere here, but with the wink-wink Pau deal, Mills getting reupped so quickly and Parker not being moved, it seems like PATFO intended on keeping those guys. On the other hand, LMA and Green were both said to be on the block.

To create a max slot, the Spurs had two route (with numerous in-between paths, obviously): Trading/not reupping the three Ps and keeping all of those guys with Pau taking a RJ special, Mills using his hold and Tony not doing anything while moving Green and LMA. I hope I'm wrong, but I think that was the plan, and that's why Paul said no, because it's not a good plan, objectively.

I think it's pretty obvious Paul was Plan A... and Plan B was bringing back Patty and not over paying for Hill etc...

Is it the right move?? We shall see but PATFO have a better understanding on what's going on then 100% of posters on ST..
