It's a song about how a girl(s) will chose a healthy village fireman over a city boy. It's full of sexual inuendo (the chorus go something like the girls singing "I'll choose a boy, you know a BIG boy....." and it's a big hit at parties and village fairs. The music is loosely based on local folk music (yes we're a polka nation) and if you know that some of my favourite artist are Eric Clapton, Norah Jones, Dianna Krall you can picture me leaving the house screaming everytime it's on.
But they are selling copies like crazy and their concerts are sold out!
The rooster? well I guess it's there to set the mood!?

That music is some funny stuff! Listening to it I feel like I should be watching one of those game shows on Univision (That's a spanish language TV station here).
I'm sure it was intended as funny, nobody expected it to become so popular (the girls are good looking so that helps a lot too).

No, I live in Slovenia. I'm just a lucky bas that travels a lot and I have quite a few good friends in the US so that I've learned a few things about americans.
What is the name of the language spoken in Slovenia ? Was Slovenia formally part of Yugoslavia ? Was it a communist country prior to 1990 ? Can you give me some more information ?

I bet they do make an English version and I bet it would become a big hit because it's so cheesy. Kinda like that stupid Barbie song by Aqua.
