His most recent stats look "ok"... but his career, year-by-year advanced metric stats look somewhat mediocre... (WS/48, PER, DBPM, ORTG, DRTG, etc...)

Thanks ace3g!
So now we have old guys past their primes, guys coming off huge injuries on the team... what else is there? Anyone left with drug abuse problems? Is Ty Lawson available?
Awww an Achilles?
Not hyped now.
The Spurs have succeeded in their pursuit of happiness
Well, the Spurs certainly kept this under wraps.
Is he going to wear a different jersey number?
8.5 million is a bargain considering...
we need to trade for love and ramon sessions to fulfill the prophecy of "gay love sessions"
and throw in some cousins
Yes!!!! Scoring!!!!!!!
Anyone seen contract details? If we didn't pay him much this is a decent signing
But if you listen to Spurstalk, because we heard nothing like this, it meant they weren't doing anything lol
This will be the most difficult test for the Rudy Gay challenge, tbh..it's a curse that has haunted every team he has played for(Sacramento didn't change, though)
2005-2006 Grizzlies: 49-33
2006-2007 Grizzlies with Rudy Gay: 22-60
2009-2010 Grizzlies with Gay: 40-42
2010-2011 Grizzlies with Gay missing the 2nd half of the season and playoffs: 46-36, famously embarrassing the 1 seed Spurs
2012-2013 Grizzlies after trading Rudy Gay: WCFS
2012-2013 Raptors with Gay: 34-48
2012-2013 Raptors with Gay: missed playoffs
2013-2014 Raptors trade Gay: 48 wins, HCA in playoffs
2012-2013 Kings without Gay: 28 wins
2014 Kings: 28 wins
2017 Spurs: 61 wins
2018 Spurs: ???
I'd be okay with tanking.
Big3 League team in 15 years
Nothing on the stat sheet says he's past his prime. 30 should still be the guy's prime. Even if he diminishes some physically he's always been a good athlete. Obviously the big injury is the risk and I'm sure it's a calculated one. It also probably cut his cost in half, likely more than that
The Gay Curse, which now I fully expect Kawhi going down with some ty injury and Kyle Anderson starting in his place.
I definitely agree, but in the context of how free agency has been going, I'm happy
