    Didn't Durant say this past year Manu was his favorite or one of his favorite players coming up?

    At least maybe with Manu on the court Durant may let his guard down a tad during the 2018 WCF.

    Not surprised. With so many rooks and guys that are still sprouting his veteran leadership will be welcom but it was really time to retire.... I hope it's really his last season... Manu is starting to hang on too long.

    Might as well at this point. Punted season. Develop the youngins. Let manu have his farewell tour. Be rid of Tony/Manu and start fresh next summer and make a run at big name FAs in hopes some of our young players pan out and Kawhi takes another step forward.

    I think it was about money. It was prob a leverage move. If he was coming back for the min they could have negotiated with Pau already.

    Kind of disappointed... Could get ugly this year for him. Season, he should be fine, but playoffs I'm concerned. Definitely like him mentoring the kids.

    I think if Pop rests him even more in the reg season , it'll be the opposite. I think they both realize the slow start he had and will want to do what they can to prevent that from happening
