Oh my God, the ing is getting ridiculous.
Everyone always over reacts...
Yes, Pau got a ton of money. He's over paid, yes. He can be stretched. He can be traded. He gave the team an opportunity to sign a max or near max FA this summer. No one choose to come to SA. That had a cost.
Assume that the spurs are just pushing away players like Chris Paul and Paul George, etc. Feeling has to be mutual. In terms of trades, other teams have to want what teh spurs have. We don't have many attractive assets. We don't have lottery or near lottery draft picks. We have what we have.
Are we going to keep up with GS? No. I don't think any team has. Houston is trying. But in the next few years, they'll have 2 players probably being paid $40 mil each (Harden and Paul) and Paul will be 37? years old or older as a guard ....
Oh my God, the ing is getting ridiculous.
3 of our guys are already right around that age or older. Another 2 are over 30 - one being an out of shape discontent, and the other coming off a career killing injury.
Where's the second part?
Can't see Aldridge not opting out. He might not be able to do much or any better than what he's slated to make on an annual basis, but he can probably secure that amount for 2-3 years.
Given that Spurs more than likely can't do better, they'll probably have interest in re-signing him, with Mavericks, Pacers (if Gay leaves, Young could be a sign and trade possibility) and Suns, as possibilities.
Mavericks seem most likely. Grew up their, no true number 1 option, Nowitzki likely down to final season and okay with coming off bench, type of C he likes and one who can guard PF's as he ages and close friend (Matthews).
Green and Gay are likely locks to opt out too. Green will more than likely get 3-4 year reimbursement for '15 contract from Spurs and Gay, even if he struggles mightily, can sell himself as 2nd season post injury and given the supply and demand for versatile wings, probably at least command the MLE again.
Aldridge to Dallas is interesting. Could we move him there now? What would they give in return? Harris and Mathews? S&T for Noel (highly unlikely)?
They wouldn't give anything worth Spurs' while and if in fact they do have interest (probably do, considering he's a natural Nowitzki replacement and they love big names and can't attract the biggest ones) in signing him in '18, probably know they're likely to have a good chance for reasons I stated.

Free agent center JaVale McGee has agreed to re-sign with the Golden State Warriors, league sources tell ESPN.
Geez. How full is their roster. Do they still have roster spots?
Preach.
I'm excited for Rudy Gay. I can't tell if it's because I think he'll play well or if I get to wear a Jersey that identifies me as Gay.
Hahahaha if true this is awesome SPURt![]()
I can wear a shirt that calls me gay and not be gay right? RIGHT?!?!
I'm more intrigued by his position on the court...Will he play SG or PF in the starting lineup? Will he come off the bench playing at 3?
In the interview that ELNono translated, Manu said "Rudy Gay is coming in, and initially somebody might look surprised because he doesn't seem to have the San Antonio style, but he has enormous talent, and a versatility that allows him to play as a SF or SG, which can give Kawhi minutes to rest, and he also can play with Kawhi..."
Then Greg Wissinger, a guy who covers the Kings told PtR "If there's a concern, it' whether Rudy will play the 4. He's resisted being a strech 4 in recent seasons, but his game is perfect as a modern stretch 4. But again, if Pop asks him to play the 4, it's little different than Ty Corbin or George Karl"

Hope Rudy Gay contributes positively in all aspects......
The words manu used to describe Rudy meant he could play the 3/4. (ala-pivote o alero)
Anyways, the real question is whether Pop starts Pau/LMA then brings Rudy off the bench or vice versa.
Next off season was supposed to be the year where we were able to rebuild the team around Kawhi![]()
Manu retires & LMA plays well and leaves then the Spurs, then what?
Of course!!
This situations is very depressing.
More if we read some guys covering the Spurs, they're already defending the PATFO bad moves of this offseason and giving up on next summer. Like Jeff LetOtherTeamsTakeAturn McDonalds and MatthewNahRFAsBigMarketsTynan
That's never gonna happen. The league doesn't work like that anymore.
