Apparently Byrd quit the KKK. so no harm was ever done. He does not want to kill all brothas anymore.
Did Byrd murder someone? Go ahead and post a link. I'd love to read all about it. It would totes change my mind about Democrats and Trump.

    I'll just bet he did.
For the 2003–2004 session, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)[64] rated Byrd's voting record as being 100% in line with the N.A.A.C.P.'s position on the thirty-three Senate bills they evaluated.
Beginning in the 1970s, Byrd explicitly renounced his earlier views favoring racial segregation.[20][57] Byrd said that he regretted filibustering and voting against the Civil Rights Act of 1964[58] and would change it if he had the opportunity. Byrd also said that his views changed dramatically after his teenage grandson was killed in a 1982 traffic accident, which put him in a deep emotional valley. "The death of my grandson caused me to stop and think," said Byrd, adding he came to realize that African-Americans love their children as much as he does his.[59] During debate in 1983 over the passage of the law creating the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, which some conservatives opposed, Byrd grasped the symbolism of the day and its significance to his legacy, telling members of his staff "I'm the only one in the Senate who must vote for this bill"
Robert Byrd had a 40 year record of disavowing the KKK and white supremicists, and acting against their politics, and did so right up to his death.

    Fail some more. Please.

Nah, Byrd had already apologized for being in the KKK and disavowed them.
Well, gee, since he apologized, I guess that makes it okay then.

Byrd was a piece of who was still using the N-word in public as recently as 2001. He was on record telling people to never join the KKK only because it would make it difficult to have a career in politics down the road. The thought that being in a hate group is vile and morally wrong didn't occur to him, I guess.

Democrats would be wise to stop trying to defend Byrd. He was a piece of crap, and we all know the "but, but, he apologized!" card would never work if he was a Republican.

    Trump: I disavow David Duke

Clinton: my friend and mentor, Robert KKK Byrd

Since you want to keep being a moron:

Q: What has been your biggest mistake and your biggest success?

A: Well, it's easy to state what has been my biggest mistake. The greatest mistake I ever made was joining the Ku Klux Klan. And I've said that many times. But one cannot erase what he has done. He can only change his ways and his thoughts. That was an albatross around my neck that I will always wear. You will read it in my obituary that I was a member of the Ku Klux Klan.

Byrd was a better man than you will ever be, Darrin.

False moral equivalency is not a bug of Trumpism. It’s a feature.

    The Post’s Editorial Board:

“The nation can only weep. ...

That car in Charlottesville did not kill or wound just the 20 bodies it struck.

    It damaged the nation.

    Mr. Trump not only failed to help the country heal;

he made the wound wider and deeper.”

    another massive failure:
