maybe I just missed the point where Herman blamed the players. Imo, I actually think Herman was taking a shot at him self by saying it was a mistake to think that he is so good that he could take a 5-7 team and magically turn them into a championship team. I think has been very complimentary to all the players. The cold reality is that this team may not be as talented as we all thought. They're talented, just not at the level we all wanted to believe. Meyer is an ego driven coach who would probably step on anyone and everyone to get ahead. It's worked for him so far so why stop now.

I see what you are saying, but at the same time, if he gets into a war of words with Meyer he looks like the dumb ass because he is arguing with a coach that was once his boss and is infinitely more successful than Herman is. I think he is better off ignoring Meyer and just allowing his wife to be the ankle biter to Meyer. The news outlets will pick up what she said and the message will get across that Meyer is a idiot, and if he responds to her, then he is also an asshole.
