I am one heathy guy
You should. I don't think you should be forced to. People who don't get inoculated put the rest of us in danger. I think you should be allowed to live how you want, on your own island, not doing any business with the rest of the world. In society however, there are some trade-offs, and one of them is that you get inoculated.
I am one heathy guy
You are insufferable.
Mobile...???
Mobile as they have been to many places in the country/world and then are concentrated into planes and airports. When you go to many different places you are more likely exposed to different pathogens. Seriously? Are you drinking? Airports with 130 people... HEB? HEB? Omg, my neighbor's from San Antonio... And yes there are HEBs that have as much people traffic as OHare... Man I have seen these HEBs that span 80 square miles like Denver airport.
Honest to God .... Just stop.
Not in the head.
But you are not alone apparently.
I don't get them and don't get the flu. Just lucky, I guess.
Most likely you are like me.
You get the flu, you just have very mild symptoms so it's not even an issue. As you and I age, good luck.
I know people who get all shots
Their family is always sick
I always get a flu shot. It's important as you get older. It's not about preventing the flu, it's about minimizing the symptoms.
Of course it's not about spreading the disease to others... for you, ducks and DMC.
All these whacked out statements are perfectly understandable for people who think about small numbers, the number(s) being 1. Me, myself and I. sorry, that's 3. If you have ever been responsible for how things work in populations or large numbers of people, things like the flu might make sense to you.
Its the return to the same theme, the individual and the society. You won't ever need to apply to a job in which questions about volunteer work will be important. It's all good.
Are you gonna make sure your grandkids get immunized? It's very important for youngsters as well.
You're melting down completely over a flu shot.
So you come into contact with everybody at O'Hare Airport?
But you are right, I won't ever have to apply for a job where l have to give my services away and I'm not going to White Knight my way around to make myself feel better about making no money.
Did you read this, ducks?
Flu shots don't spread the disease to others. The virus is dead in the inoculation.
Yeah im melting down because you completely and utterly missed the point...
"I know airplanes travel fast thru the air but your are not moving around in them" ? WTF? Viruses at 20,000 feet packed in the air columnIt's funny.
You seriously missed the boat.
I already said it makes sense YOU don't want a flu shot.
Then you decided to go ahead and made a fool of yourself.
I told you to stop. Twice. I tried to prevent you from dropping an anvil on your head.
No . They said they don't get the flu or the flu shot and you said you don't care about spreading it, you get the shot to protect yourself. Well you inadvertently protected others when YOU got the shot. Sorry about that horrible side affect.
Jesus Christ.... The conservatives on this board and simple science...
What the are you talking about? I never said I don't care about spreading it. That's one of the reasons I get the shot.
Just keep going then.
Sure, I come into contact with EVERYONE at OHare. Yes, that's exactly what I stated.
You still don't get it. Highly mobile Mass Transportation has no effect on the spreading of transmissible diseases. It's just that people get tired on air planes. Damn jet lag...
Good lord...
Since we're basing our entire worldviews on anecdotal personal evidence, I get a flu shot every year.
A couple of years ago, I skipped it. I got the flu that year.
That's my valuable scientific contribution to the discussion.
Deflection. You lost your mind because someone doesn't wanna get a flu shot. You jumped on your white horse and pretended that you're more interested in saving the world than the average person.
After reading my posts about spreading it.
But yeah you never said this like the others.
It's a choice. I get that. I just find it interesting that when one knows he could easily be a carrier the thought concerning being a part of herd immunity never enters into their choice. DMC has his guns to worry about in order to protect those 1st amendment rights. The real logical stuff must be taken on first. Then we worry about concentrated flu viruses floating packed in the air at high al udes and not letting the damn things in...
You don't own enough guns.
Sure. I told you why I get the flu shot even though I don't get the flu.
You thought it was ridiculous and tried to present perfectly silly cir stances on why I was foolish.
Then you outed yourself with this HEB, mobile people on planes, bizarre mixup.
Told you to stop.
There ya go.
Its not the first time you have tried to work your way out of foolishness.
I usually don't comment on it. But you are determined to extricate yourself from an ever growing ball of yarn.
So. Don't stop. And go and claim the Fuzz man plays this game. No shame.
You probably have HIV.
You said "I'm not surprised", because your liberal high horse showed up and you had to mount it.
A large group of people can be from anywhere at all. Whether you meet them in a store or in an airport, you're around people you know nothing about. If your immune system is compromised, you'll get sick just picking your kid up from daycare.
You get your flu shot and save the world. There's a reason everyone can get a flu shot.
Maybe you carry a different strain of flu. You should stay home.
