After Duncan left I lost a lot of interest in the team and missed a lot of games last year but with Murray in the fold and playing like this, my interest level is pretty high again.

I used to think I was going to lose interest when Duncan retired, but that didn't happen for two reasons: Kawhi and winning. I assumed the Spurs would sink to a borderline playoff team, but instead they remained a top 2 team in the west. And Kawhi was the perfect successor to Tim Duncan. I couldn't have hoped for a more perfect player to take the torch.

But I agree this team looks even more promising.

I can only thing of a couple of players in Spurs history that didn't live up to the salary. 99% of the time they get it right.
