Spurs may have signed the most useful Paul after all. Certainly per dollar he is.
I’m really surprised by Paul he actually looks like a polished player and looks like he has some playmaking ability also.

He's a polished player while Simmons is more raw. I want to see if Paul has the ability to play the PnR cause in today's NBA he would be more dangerous than Simms. He's a much better shooter and apparently passer. But yeah I mentioned something about his lateral quickness in the GT last night. I completely agree. He's tough as nails too. He played in the post against Olynk one possession, guarded Dragic... He's just a tough. Hope he's a Spur for a long time. Just don't know how all these guards factor into the equation cause even White has a great skill set.
In the game against the Raptors he ran two pick and rolls with LA to perfection. He set up an ally oop in one and a wide open 15 footer in the other.
Judging by the last couple of games, he seems comfortable going off the dribble and also looks as though he has experience handling the ball in P&R situations based off the highlights i have seen of him. Add the ability to knock down pull up and spot up 3's consistently makes him a better fit than Simmons on offense.

if we are going to compare Paul with Simmons, lets look at his ability to attack the basket. He has not shown that ability or aggression yet in comparison to Simmons. Spurs have a lot of shooters, but more "attack the basket" mentality. Simmons provided that element.
..and would fumble the ball 80% of the time too
It's pointless to argue about JSimms at this point. One has to be happy for him bc he's happy with his choice. It was his choice to go to Orlando. He wanted more freedom to play, more minutes, more shots, and the ability to decide for himself how to be aggressive, etc. He felt restricted in the Spurs offense and was fearful of getting the bench for a mistake. He said he couldn't play freely like that.
Spurs were only going to retain him if they gave him what he wanted in minutes and role. That was never going to happen in SA after Manu decided to come back and Spurs signed Rudy Gay.
And both teams are most likely better for it all. Pretty nice...
Did he really mention fearing being benched for mistakes? The Big 3 throughout the years had that happen many times to them

Ha, thanks. I'll have to check it out. As a player I guess you have to be mentally strong enough to handle that sort of coaching style. It ain't for everyone. That's what made our big 3 , mainly TD so special. Set the bar
