Would like to see Tony come off the bench for the rest of the year before resuming starting duties and minutes in 2018. Murray could use the reps for one more month and Patty can do what he does best, towel wave.

If Tony went full Satan... You start him and ride him til the contract is paid.
We'll see if he comes back and starts crushing it, or gimps through like he probably should.

A 35 year old coming back from a major injury? Yay...

Can't wait for the day until we move on from these TOSBs and stop relying on them so much. NVM, I forget there's going to be the inevitable loyalty contract.
Not the best time to bring up TOSBs as our young player is sitting out longer from a supposedly lesser injury. I am now really respecting TP for the fact that he is able to get back from injuries earlier and also play through them, even though some of those times he does play, it's a detriment to the team.

I also want to add, I'm really hoping the time off has rejuvenated him and that he's been able to get his body back in to the best shape it's been in, in a while. I'm hoping the extended rest he's had can give him a chance to maybe get back to the player he was in 2014 (his last season that he was very good). He's played a lot of Basketball year-round with both the Spurs and the French national team, so I'm optimistic he can return and play well for a sustained period of time. I really do think his body needed a rest from all the year-round play. We'll see if this makes a difference. I hope it does, and that we maybe see the 2014 Tony Parker.

It will help that Tony can't play more than 63 games this season. I would be surprised if he cracks 50 unless Mills or Murray gets hurt.

How many minutes does everyone think he will play tomorrow? I'll guess 18.

This is is an extreme case of recency bias. He came back early from this one, but in general Rique has always been a pussy with injuries. 1-2 years ago he was out two months with a mild asscheek strain while 40 year olds Manu and Timmy were busting their ass. Timmy also joked during the Champions special after 14' that Rique always sits out weeks with minor injuries.

Yeah, maybe it is, but I recalled other times where he did come back early. I recall he had a broken hand/finger and he came back 2 weeks early from that, so I'm not totally wrong, but I didn't recall the few times he sat out longer. I forgot about the one you mentioned. I assume the one Timmy joked about was a hamstring that he sat out for?

Good find! It is absolutely true that in February of this year they sent Murray to the DLeague.

I don't necessarily expect Murray back in the dleague, but he is going to lose minutes.
If he was humble he would ask for an assignment to work on his deficiencies. But he won't.
He will keep saying he is still working hard to be a star, while looking similar to how he's looked most of the time.

I like Kyle still getting some point forward duties. That’s been good for him and playing very well.

That's Kyle's game, so that will continue as long as he is on the floor.

Adding another playmaker to the starting lineup should help with their offensive woes though, and the bench unit could definitely benefit from Patty's scoring while letting Manu retain the main ball-handling duties.

Regardless of Patty's shooting woes of late, he is still better playing off the ball and focusing on scoring, not initiating the offense. He can do that much better with the second unit.
