Wow I had forgotten about it. Very similar numbers to the ones he put up in college.
I'd consider him a draft steal when you consider Bruno Caboclo was drafted at 20 (and his 2 years away from being 2 years away are looking like they meant years away from completely falling off as a prospect) and so many others like James Young drafted by the Celtics in at 17 and Adreian Payne at 15 aren't in the league anymore. Looked at Memphis and what they have to show for their picks. To get a nice rotation player at 30 can't be taken for granted (look at Spurs themselves gamble with LJC, who didn't turn into an NBA player). Kyle is a success story.
Jokic was the big fish steal but I have seen a report where by his own admission he stated he was out of shape, not taking the sport seriously or playing well at the young age he was drafted and was even considering not going pro at all. Not even Denver knew what they had. He was just a surprise.
But from what I have heard from casaul fans that he's a better defender than Kawhi.
