The so called pomato or totato...
This is interesting in that both these plants are closely related. One puts most of its energy into the tuber, potato, and one puts a lot of energy into the fruit, tomato. You can even graft them together.
Next time you grow a potato plant, let it flower and fruit and boom, you will see tomatoes. Only they usually stay green and small. Or conversely, plant a tomato, pull it up and you will see very small tubers, potatoes, as apart of the stem/root system. It's pretty neat. The leaves of both plants smell and look very much alike. Only we have perfected varieties for growing large fruits, or large tubers now. Boots gets very upset when I get into genetics of food crops so I'll end it here as the excitement may be too much for the board.
