Good for him. He would be scrubbing it up on Austin right now, getting over himself. This gives him exposure.

I would be interested in Randle off the bench. He's one of the few Kentucky players who seems to understand hard work and compe iveness can actually improve a player.
I like Randle and think he'd actually be a fine third big. The team doesn't need a legit center, because then that player couldn't play with Pau. They need a legit big who can be a small-ball center for stretches. This is exactly what Bell would have done and what Randle could do. There's just no reasonable way to acquire Julius, and it doesn't make sense to pay him with how much the front court is already going to make next year. I don't think he's better than Kyle, and he's definitely less versatile. I think it's buyout or bust at this point.
I wanted RoLo instead of his prima dona teammate back when they were both FAs. Could have used the difference in salaries to sign a second dood player... Oh well.
is that really a priority consideration at this point?
last year pau was playing something like 22 minutes per game in the playoffs
It's kind of a big deal if you have three bigs and two of them can't play together.
Pau's playability comes down to two factors: The teams the Spurs face and how much effort he's giving. There are plenty of teams against whom the Spurs would likely stay big (including every team in the playoffs outside of Golden State). Pau has been putting up great defensive numbers and been rotating really well. I have no idea why he'd do that now but not in May. That Gasol is a big net-positive. Last year, he moved like a slug, didn't attack mismatches and went through a shooting slump at the worst time. I don't expect to see that happen again.
Paul George having trouble with his knee again. Players are dropping like flies this season.
Rockets down 10+ midway in the second quarter.
(someone anti-jinx my post)
I think your point in terms of roster compatibility is specially relevant if they are getting someone to help out this season, a one season rental essentially, which someone like Randle could be.
They said Rudy will be evaluated in 2 weeks, but if the bursitis takes generally 6 weeks to fully resolve like ElNono said (I have no idea), they need to look around.

Rockets about to get demolished by the Wizards with CP3 playing..That's 5 straight Ls...
Only 2 games in loss column between us..We are still in it ..Gotta get healthy and make a run at HC..
Prior to the injuries of CP3 and Capella they were on pace for a 60 plus win season. Amazing how those injuries have put them in a serious funk.
Frauden
not even the mvp his own team anymore
A team like Houston will always be streaky. Harden definitely ain't helping.
Nba is terrible. There are literally 4 players who dont travel every possession. I only wish i played in the city league where carrying traveling doesnt get called. I would average 50ppg
Pringles panicking in December and rushing back a banged-up CP3 and but still taking the L..This is why I'll never completely believe in an MDA-coached team..His teams have often lacked poise because he doesn't posses it himself..
LaMarcus carries every time he touches the ball!
And hes fat.
Props to Dwight Howard for getting the win against the Warriors. He played like an old school big against them which is he got all of his points in the paint and forced them to double team him throughout the whole entire second half. His passing out of the double team was also great and a huge reason why the Hornets were able to get easy points against the Warriors.
With the Warriors and the Rockets being in a funk and the Spurs nipping at their heels, I expect Pop to purposely start throwing some games to remain at that 3rd spot.
The Spurs need to focus on at least keeping that 3rd seed. They're a lot closer to falling anywhere from 4th to 6th than they are to getting that second seed. They've got some tough games and a tough schedule coming up so they need to be focused and careful to not throw away any winnable games, but with Pop sabotaging the team by getting his healthy players injured because of his BS unproven and backed by nothing scientific injury management and rest, Spurs could end up with a losing streak of their own.
Brogdon + Teletovic’s contract (dude is out indefinitely) for Patty. Do it!
In all seriousness, before the bledsoe addition I thought patty would have been a great fit in Milwaukee givien their shooting needs.
What were his stats for the game? It sounds like he played up to his potential.
