Reading some of those boards, Mavs fans are a bitter bitter bunch. There kind of like Kingsfans.com in that anyone who disagrees, even in a respectful way, is a troll. They make it look like we roll out the red carpet for Mouse.

Yeah they are the closest to spurstalk of all the mavs sites.

The fans are homers, plain and simple.

Spurstalk is the best in the biz. Recognize.
Some of the regulars here are Pistons, Suns, Nuggets, Heat, Grizzly, Pacer, Laker fans, etc. They are well-respected because they know what the they are talking about.
And, in addition to knowing what they are talking about, they come to actually discuss, rather than to hurl insults and slurs.
This board is much more active than any of the Maverick forums I know of but it's still 70% BS-insults/30% knowledgeable basketball talk (just like any other forum)
Anytime I try to talk about the Mavs/Spurs most of the responses are just insults about the Mavs, etc.. That's ok though, as there are several of y'all that will contribute with your great hoop's knowledge so it's worth sifting thru all the other crap. And just to reiterate what I said above. It's like this on any board including the Mav boards. Anybody who really believes that the Mav forums (or any non-Spur forum) are any different than this one (outside of volume of posts is fooling themselves.
Anyway, I appreciate those of you that are willing to discuss hoops w/o the BS cuz we really got a great series to talk about the next couple of weeks regardless of who you're pulling for.
i think you missed the point a bit. you don't see fans from other teams posting much on other boards. here we have many fans of many teams posting. of course there is some flaming, but it's easy to tell those after the first sentence. inflammatory posts here rarely get you banned, that is not the case on other forums.
DallasBasketball.com is hilarious.
they had a thread called "predict excuses for the spurs loss", and they went on and on about the spurs whining about not enough time between games, and how spurs fans will say duncan is not 100% etc. etc.
then when they lose, you see 100 topics of how it was dirks fault, it was stacks faults, it was dampiers fault, the refs screwed us, etc.
half of that board is on suicide watch.
I was just responding to the post that said people don't hurl insults in this forum as much as others. I agree that this forum gets fans from other teams more than others. That's why I'm here.
