The dude is such a off-the-chart defensive liability that he doesn't even belong on an NBA court.
LOL, Spurs paid 50 mill for a guy who isn't good enough for the NBA. Worst signing in team history, and perhaps the death knell of the Pop era in SA.

ing cost us the game, or at least a chance at winning the game. Useless player that gets hot once in a ing blue moon. Other than that, HE IS USELESS ON THE COURT. I don't give a what he does off the court. The Spurs front office are re s for signing someone based on off the court stuff. Hey re s, the game is played on the court, not off the court. Don't go signing loser players for big contracts when they're players on the court.

Get rid of this . Never should have re-signed him in the first place.

They depend heavily on him for scoring.

Truth is Rudy has missed a lot of games now, Manu obviously is now injured but he needs his rest games in between B2B too... Kawhi obviously.. but that goes without saying.

Right now, they depend on him for scoring a lot, and he's streaky, and if he's not shooting well there is nothing else he does well. Pop said they have laid too much on him.. then they need a different guy.

He's only on once in a blue moon = very rarely. All those stats are rubbish. He's virtually useless on the Basketball court. He was re-signed for the wrong reasons, with those reasons being off the court stuff.

I'd like you to leave with him. Getting rid of both of you would make me happy even if the season tanks.

Patty has never been consistent. He can't be because his offense is solely dependent on 3s going in. He can't do anything else.

How can you rely on consistent O from a player that can only spot up?

His shot is off 60% of games.

what other guard are they going to for scoring?
Tony has been putting up 2-4 points on bad efficiency lately.
    Dejounte is inefficient himself.
Bryn's minutes vary, he's on and off himself. None of them get to the line... Dejounte would be the best bet to get to the line but he loves the waist twisted one handed floater...

Manu is their best. They obviously miss Kawhi. But this deficiency has been known since b4 this season which is why it's so frustrating the loyalty/culture schtick.

It's collective...really it is. Patty isn't good enough to be a go to guy. If you force him to that role he falls flat on his face.

He takes way too many shots each game to not be impactful offensively... sometime takes the most of any bench player.. has been 2nd or 3rd in shots a few times... not doing research on this, just off memory...

I think that is why you see when he shoots well Spurs have a better chance... they do depend on him scoring and if he isn't scoring what does he do? what's he out there for?

but I get your point. they need a better player and that guy isn't in the roster .. and it isn't Tony either.

The stat needs could use some extra context, such as who were the teams he was getting 41% or more against in the wins and the losses? Well, 12 of those hot 41% or above shooting nights were against lotto teams, and some really bad ones

    Lottery teams bolded

    wins:
    Brooklyn
    @ Brooklyn
    Charlotte
    @ Charlotte
    @ Chicago
    Dallas
    @ Dallas
    Detroit
    LA Clippers
    @ Memphis
    Miami
    Phoenix
    @ Phoenix
    @ Portland
    Sacramento
    Sacramento
    Toronto

losses: @ Houston, OKC, Philadelphia (all playoff teams)

    AND

How did he perform when Kawhi was playing at least 25 minutes a game? 25 minutes seems a nice number, just over half an NBA game. After all, Kawhi's presence should make it easier for him, right?

5 games. Only shot over 40% once, going 50% against the lotto Nets.

    0%(0-1) against the Pistons.
    33% against the lotto Knicks.
    16.7% against lotto Phoenix.
    33.3% against lotto Denver.

We've only been saying how Patty mostly gets off vs bad undisciplined dumb defensive teams who leave him open for 3 years now.

    Great digging objective.

    No he does not.

Even Danny averages more shots than Patty.

Spurs have 8 players who average between 6-8 shots a game.

It's collective. If Patty ever has a role on a team where he gets 12-15 shots, that team will be picking in the top 5 of the draft the following summer.

In 35 games as a bench player, Mills has led the team in attempts off the bench 9 times, and tied for attempts once.

He's second in field goal attempts per game as a bench player behind Rudy Gay

Exactly.. this is what I remember.
With Rudy Gay having missed about 3 weeks of games already maybe I have some recency bias, but I do remember him taking a lot of shots.. like tonight for example enough that it stood out. Needless to say the team misses Rudy as well. but that is just yet another way to hide the bad PG play IMO.
