Best coach too apparently seeing as another of Pop's proteges is taking him to the back of the wood shed as been per par the course this year.
Swear to god I can't really remember the last time Poop beat one of his "protégés".... maybe Brett Brown when he was sporting a G-League team and Boban went Hakeem? Idk

Boston can make that claim also. Heyward has played less than Kawhi. Luckily for them, their front office knows how to build a roster...
Hayward isn't their MVP, that'd be Kyrie. It's different to have a guy who never played than a guy who was THE guy the year before to be suddenly taken out of the equation.

How you don't see that Hayward/Kawhi isn't apples to apples is a bit mind boggling

Kawhi is the main guy. We've seen less talented teams win due to chemistry, defense , 3 pt shooting, whatever.

Of course we have some flaws, but statistically the past few years, we've been the next best team behind GS, Despite their obvious talent advantage.

Can't judge anything this year. People are whining so much. Kawhi can come back hypothetically, play amazing and other guys feed off that. Even Gay who was a gamble, he can bring so much versatility. It's not as much as how they play without Kawhi. It's more important how they play with him. Cause without him is absolutely pointless cause they are at best a first round upset and definite 2nd round exit.
Now you're getting away from the initial point. No one cares about the past. No one cares about what the team can do at full strength. The fact is they're not at full strength and just suck right now. Why is that so hard for you to admit? No one is asking you to say the team sucks at full strength.

Oversimplified. Jazz are coming on strong. Silverstein definitely worried about a first round GS vs. Utah match-up.

respectfully we are going to disagree here, is not the result that matters, are the clear deficiencies of talent (an obvious failure of the front office), if Kawhi back in god mode again will be 2017 again with him overshadowing the shortcomings of RC and Pop

Mills is beyond worthless out there.
I mean... Pop is playing Hilliard at this point... he might get White out of the gleague at this rate.
    whaaaat?
If the dude wasn't on a large contract he might not be playing more than Forbes' like minutes.

They did just beat GS by 30. Plus they've had injuries, so their record isn't that indicative of who they really are.

Hayward is an elite player, man. Not having your second star matters. If LMA went down in game 1, you'd be pointing to it as an issue for why the team is struggling yet Boston is great without Hayward and you write it off.

    Slurper of the highest order.

Watch out who you're calling lottery teams. The Spurs are just 5 games back of the 9 seed Denver.

I mean it's already been said they tried to make moves in the off-season. You're not always able to make that happen. I'm sure Pop/RC know they have stuff to address, and it sounds like they tried

Literally just about every team made some sort of move. No excuses for bad FO work.

Considering they paid Hayward the max, they were definitely planning on building the team around him and Kyrie (like Kawhi-Aldridge). You writing off Hayward as just some Kyle Anderson starter kit is mind boggling..

there are at least 10 players that were found in the 2 round / g league this season that would be 2-way wings more useful than we have now in bp3 forbes and Mills, not to mention the ridiculous contract of Gasol that can not play against teams real. so the front office has not tried enough

Utah lost Gobert and Hood for some time, i can't remember who else. Yet they have all this talent (in your opinion) and they sit 5 games under 500 in 10th.

They haven't had as many injuries as we have, and we sit in 3rd.

This team isn't elite without Kawhi. But they don't suck either. They're an average team at this point.

They spent all off-season chasing CP3's shadow. The Spurs FO were so blind that they couldn't see he was using their namesake as leverage against the Clips but had no desire to play here.

Nah i never said that. I said Kyrie was their MVP and Hayward never played a full game with them. But nice try trying to twist my words.

It's easier to adjust to a guy being out when he's never played, vs a guy who was your system and your go to guy for a full season prior

The stuff they have to address is fixing their ups this past off-season (Fatty, Pau). They bought the groceries to this sandwich...

Kyrie never played for Boston either. So Kyrie is eligible to be the team's MVP but Hayward couldn't had he stayed healthy?
