Patty Mills performances against GSW this season:

DATE OPP SCORE MIN FGM-FGA FG% 3PM-3PA 3P% FTM-FTA FT% REB AST BLK STL PF TO PTS
    Sat 2/10 L 105-122 18 3-10 .300 1-5 .200 0-0 .000 1 1 0 0 3 0 7
    Thu 11/2 L 92-112 28 2-7 .286 2-6 .333 0-0 .000 1 3 0 2 1 0 6

and for whomever cares a -13 and -8 respectively. The irony.. they scored more in the game he played the least minutes...

    Last season in the WCF
30 MPG = 24% FG with 21% from 3. 7.8 points. Terrible on the defensive end.
ing pathetic that the autistic midget still shields for this scrub

unfortunately both 12:01 Mills and Danny peaked in shooting and defense in 2014

underpaid and rewarded with their current contracts for bringing us no.5

we should be able to move both if this talk about lebron has any legs to it
Green did make all defense and it wasn't all off rep..
Green will opt out.and Mills and Gasol would make up the basis for an S&T I'd imagine but that is in the pipe dream category at the moment.

Mills doesn't even want to shoot anymore. he's a ing joke. He's playing 22 minutes, but I could tell he didn't want to shoot it. He had no confidence, so why was he out there for 22 minutes? HIS STELLAR ING DEFENSE?

    D_White - DNP

That's all you need to say about this clown Pop right about now.

If this piece of and his excrement of contract don't get offloaded in the summer ..

12 millions for this disgusting line.

Not only that, but this turd is going to be playing over Murray in the playoffs just because they have to double down on his pathetic ass so Pop/RC don't look like the dumb s they were last offseason..

    He is awful!

And for people who think he's here because of leadership and culture ... He's been trash at that!

Under Patty's culture leadership, his buddy from Portland Aldridge has asked for a trade and Kawhi now has a challenging relationship with the Spurs and didn't even travel with the team

It was a trash signing the day it was signed.

I kind of hope they get a wake up call and don't make the playoffs -- a top 15 pick would be nice too.

    I'm there now too.

I think it's the Acceptance stage.

I worry they won't see it as a wake-up call.

Proof that they have seen the light will be if they swallow their pride and the money and cut Joffrey during this season.

They are only 3 games ahead of the Clippers in the loss column. Clippers are 9th in the West.

Spurs next 18 games are as brutal as it gets. They'll go 5-13 or 6-12 during this stretch -- especially if Kawhi isn't back and especially if Pop keeps up his terrible coaching closing games.

Jazz ran the same damn play over and over the last 6 minutes, attacking Pau in the PnR going downhill and Pop never flinched. I would have at least put in Kyle/Bertans/ Green/ Manu/Murray and blitzed/switched everything -- especially in PnRs with strong hedges.

Can't believe he closed with Patty on top of that. My goodness.

There are some clues that the front office has decided to late-tank this season:
    1) the injuries of KL and Gay are over managed regarding to any possible medical prevision...i would not be surprised if the decision is to not play them both anymore for this season;
    2) the choices in point to point finals have been hard scratching...last example, Mills in, in the final play, and then way he played (like a statue) that play;
    3) the choices to rest players that are playing well (for axample, no reason to bench White this entire game in favor of minutes to Forbes and Mills, that have been abysmal agaist GSW).

The remaining schedule could also have played play a role in the sense above: the outcome of last 24 games, if nothing change, could result in a sort of a 7/17...that would however take us over 50% (final record 42/40) but probably out of play offs.

Finally, the situation of the ownerswhip can play a role: the uncertainity about future takes to misleading choices.

I wish they'd tank. But to your points:

    1. I don't think Kawhi limping around during off hours has anything to do with the Spurs being too cautious and near-tankish. They might shut him down, but I doubt it will be over managing, just a reaction.
    2. Late game bizareness has been a Pop staple for a few years now.
    3. I'm not at all surprised by Gay being out so long. He's a 31 year old who is coming off a torn ACL who pushed himself to be ready at season's start, earlier than people expected. Him breaking down with injury was an understood risk.
    4. Derrick White being benched is classic Pop. He does it all the time. Especially if he has a vet he likes in front of said player. Hill was benched for tough vet Vaughn. Splitter benched for favorites Bonner and tough McDyess. It is what it is. The rare instances to the contrary are when exceptional players are behind players he doesn't care for, like Parker with Antonio Daniels and Kawhi with Richard Jefferson who Pop had previously benched in the playoffs and wasted some of his summer time off on.

Pop even gave White the kiss of death with his recent quote about how White has "been hurt a lot". He missed a month with one injury. It's one injury, not 'a lot', he's been available more than not, 43 games available to 14 unavailable. It was the same crap with Splitter. Splitter has to miss time in camp, is available most of the season racking up dozens of dnp-cds and garbage time games and then the next few years Pop lies about how Splitter was so incredibly injured and that's why he didn't play his rookie year. It was nonsense that goes unchallenged by the local media buffoons. But now Pop has his fake excuse. Soon you'll be hearing that White missed the entire year with bird flu-inosis like Splitter was portrayed.

But playing Mills is a great tanking strategy, you might be on to something.

21 minutes, 0 points, 0 rebounds, 4 assists, 0 steals, 0 blocks. Zero shooting percentage. 50 million bux. Worst signing in the team's history. I pray the fat abbo piece of isn't on the team next year. And after he signed his ridiculous contract he said there was no pressure to perform. I hate that little brown abbo piece of . And Pop probably feels compelled to play him because of his insane contract. What a mess. Let's start a pe ion that this isn't on the team next year.
