doesn't make it a classic though... it was a regurgitated plot and geared more towards teenagers in my opinion. i never said it was horrible though and actually thought it was alright but the hype it's getting is bs. it wasn't some profound movie at all.gonna be a top 5 highest grossing movie ever but yeah the hype isn’t real.
yeah the hype is real but the substance of the movie isn't. you can have bs hype all day and run with that but the movie is subpar.

Marvel has found a winning formula, and i'm not complaining. their movies are all fun, exciting, and i've never regretted spending money on their movies.
with that said, its fair to say Black Panther is one of their better flicks, and likely the best standalone film for a non marvel fan to watch, along with ironman 1

hype = bs surrounding this movie resulting in its imdb score and box office $

It's a fictional comic book movie, man. Nobody is making it profound but you.
The second ya read MARVEL or DC something should click. Yep, this isn't suppose to be the next Citizen Kane, Casablanca, The Godfather. It's suppose to be a couple hours of....WOW..COOL....thrills, a get your yucks thing.

I watched this today, and thought it was terrible, tbh... almost fell asleep a couple times...
I mean, I won't hate on those that liked it, just not my cup of tea... I have all the Wolverines way ahead of this one, IMVHO...
The worst part is that if you caught the trailer, you probably already saw the best part of the movie FXs... same with Ant-Man, I bet you that knife scene is the best FX scene in the movie...
A friend and I both speculated that after this movie a lot of black people are going to name their kid T'Challa. 18-20 years from now we are going to see some NBA players or NFL players with the name T'challa Johnson, T'Challa Robinson, etc.black people taking this too far
If you guys were annoyed at the negative review backlash, just wait for the storm of twitter screeching when this doesn't win Best Picture next year

if marvel movies dont usually float your boat, i dont think this one transcends the genre or anything like that
