    legally he could.

No, actually they don't "happen all the time", you slobbering idiot. the data on that is crystal ing clear. fewer guns = fewer mass shootings, fewest guns = fewest mass shootings

Awfully hard to have mass shootings without the tools to do so.

Dude...you're one of the worst at taking things out of context and/or believing what you read by your chosen media outlets.

He was directly addressing this situation in regards to background check and magazine bans. They wouldn't have made a difference in this case.
And he was trying to make a point about recognizing patterns with these school shooters and addressing problems before they get to a shooting.
Not seriously proposing a ban on trenchcoats.

But MM pulls out a couple of talking points and you repost without actually researching what said and the context around it.

Of course both sides do this ad nauseam and the truth gets so distorted that anyone objectively trying to listen to news is going to have a tough time.

If you really want to make better, then you should abstain from participating in that kind of bull .

It is part and parcel of the excuses that conservatives use all the time to blame everything ELSE but guns, which was the point.

    In context:
HEWITT: To the teachers and administrators out there, the trench coat is kind of a giveaway. You might just say, "No more trench coats." The creepy people, make a list, check it twice.
It was a non-sense solution, whether you go with "banning trenchcoats" or "making lists of creepy students".

How seriously do I need to treat nonsense like this? Do tell.

Doesn't seem too far off the mark. Again, why should I take this argument seriously at all? Does it deserve serious treatment, regardless of whether it is "make lists of creepy students" or "no more trench coats".

The person making the argument isn't serious himself. He knows he is saying something disingenuous.

Which is the better response, satire, or a wall of text treating this bull like it is worth serious consideration?

This list is incomplete; you can help by expanding it.
You really want to tally casualty counts? Really?

The better response it to ignore that . It's just noise.
