I'm actually open minded to Trump's arguments but here's the ultimate deciding factor for me: If we have the largest economy in the world, a historically low unemployment rate, and a shortage of skilled labor.... then is the trade deficit with the EU really killing us as much as Trump leads us to believe? It doesn't make sense.
lopsided deals don't favor our country either. why be on the side of those trying to take advantage of us in trade? instead we should all kick them in their collective asses.
I'm not on their side. I'm just saying risking a potentially catastrophic trade war over something that doesn't seem to be hurting us all that much doesn't make sense.

Obama and Reagan both faced deep recessions and 10% unemployment at the same point in their presidencies.
with such great economic numbers, you'd think Trump would be doing a little better.
I'm really curious though, this isn't a gotcha question. I'm not pretending to be an expert on our trade deals with our allies. I'd genuinely like to know what is unfair about the current structure for America.
