Sons, I tried to tell ya'll. I knew Peru was over-rated Colembol junk and that Croatia is the . I hedged out of respect for the returning finalists; but if I had been betting, I would have taken Croatia +215 or whatever they put it at all the way. Admittedly, I wasn't that confident; I would've put maybe $30 on it.
Frankly, Croatia was the in 2014, too. They just had bad breaks and didn't really match-up well with the teams in their group in the first place.

Just looking at my fantasy WC picks. I didn't call Germany and Argentina, but it's mostly still looking pretty good. I had a sneaky feeling about Argentina giving an underwhelming performance, but I didn't go with it. With Germany, I knew Mexico was on upset alert; but I still figured Germany could find a way to dominate and then cruise through the rest of the group. Poland had a hard luck game, but they definitely were an over-hyped team. Sure, they can still win the next two and win the group though.
