they were banking on werner being a lot more dynamic... they haven't really had that since podolski

but if they want to stay with the typical german style striker (klose, mueller, gomez... basically just in-the-box finishers) then they really need new blood in the midfield to generate the opportunities. even in 2014 schweinsteiger was a monster for them...

International Football has improved so tremendously the last 20 years. Its crazy.
I think a lot of these poorer teams have just a bad mindset and thats why these bigger teams alwsys nick in a last minite goal.

nice oversimplification my nig. Argentina fails because of an antiquated tactical system and Messi's inability to play with a wealth of strikers. Germany failed purely because they didn't give a . Each and every game the same , no presing, taking it easy, jogging instead of running. All these assholes don't do this at club level, it just got to their heads that they're too good. Tactically Low had good plans, the talent was there, outproduced all teams we went against but couldn't convert but that's another story, etc. Lack of effort is extraordinarily unique for a german NT so pardon me if I'm taking offense in saying it's just a choke. To me what this NT did is ing offensive. It's not just a choke, it's a you towards the fans.
