If the Spurs don't trade him to LA, playing the slave card is the next logical PR move..it works in virtually any setting in the entertainment world, but especially with somebody like Pop, he won't be able to resist his white guilt and will send Kawhi to LA for Ingram and even take back Deng's contract..

I agree Parker was an idiot (as were Pop and Manu), but the reason they had to confidence to make those comments is because they saw the writing on the wall. They shouldn't have made them since it gave Kawhi and Co. an out to use. Simply put, Kawhi wanted out of SA long before the comments and before his injury. My guess was sometime in the 2017 off-season.
