I love all these teams trying to win just one for the whole farm and future. Yet Warriors just going to win again. Don't be fooled...

Well , this is worst case scenario for Leonard's trade value. Lakers lose out on George, sign LeBron, and LeBron is willing to punt a year to sign Kawhi next summer.
Quite true -- this is the Armageddon scenario . . .

LeBron is on board with them saving the max cap slot for Leonard. He seems to be ok with waiting for 2019.
A lot can happen in 1 year. Paul George was guaranteed to be a Laker..

It's obvious Lebron pushed up his announcement because Philly was too close to obtaining Kawhi.

Spurs are getting rooked no matter who they trade with. Just send him to the Clippers to up Lebron's best laid plans.

Lebron just gave the Spurs a ton of leverage. He’s turning 34 this December. It’d be a huge deal to lose this first year having Lebron carry that team. By the end of these three years Lebron will be 36. Father Time is gonna come for him sooner or later.

He's really stupid, then, because he just saw Magic screw up the same situation with PG13.
Exactly, AND using KCP as cap space ballast!

Nah the Armageddon scenario would be trading Leonard for the Lakers' crap.

I’d love to see Kawhi flip his stance and agree to the Supermax . . .
    He rejected the Supermax?

The Spurs need to continue to wait. I'm sure Jerry West is still holding out hope and needs to get creative. I'm sure Ainge is also still intrigued as is Brett Brown. I assume the Spurs are still talking to Kawhi in hopes they can hash out a deal. I'm sure Kawhi will probably ask for the supermax, maybe a no trade clause, and for some player(s) to be traded and one in particular not to be resigned.

At the end of the day, Golden State.

If Kawhi ends up in LA, I will be wanting them to beat the Warriors.

Still the cheapest, pathetic move by Durant in history.

STFU dumbass. No one gives a about the warriors. FTL

Lebron isn’t waiting a year to bring in another star. He’s shown no signs of slowing down yet but has a ton of mileage and will be 34 early this coming season. So he’s going to wait until he’s 35 and a half to have another star next to him in Kawhi?

Lots of things can happen to the body in that period of time.

Or an agreement to resign with an East team

Quite true -- this is the Armageddon scenario . . .
It was so obvious he was headed to the Lakers that it's your own damn fault for burying your head in the sand and thinking Philly had a snowball's chance in of signing Lebron.

Why do these idiots think the Lakers can not only get the best player in the deal (by far) but also off load the worst contract in the NBA?

The key is acquiring assets -- not worrying about what bad contracts you (temporarily) take . . .

I’d love to see Kawhi flip his stance and agree to the Supermax and stay a Spur. In spite of all the BS he’s created he’s still a top 5 talent when healthy. People would forgive and forget pretty fast. Cleveland forgave LeBron for bolting to Miami after half the city called him a traitor.

Uncle Dennis probably won’t change his stance, but I’d still rather keep KL than ever see him play for the Lakers.
Now one spur fan changes his tune!!
