You're still slapping LeBron onto a crappy non-playoff team. He's not Jesus Christ.
Lots of empty regular-season wins and no rings.
That could actually happen...
that team rings starting in 2020 by which time Stephanie's ankles are done, draymond is gone, and Kiwi is still in his prime![]()
Riiiight. Meanwhile, LeBron will be how old by then?
who will stop him? "cp0 and frauden" as you like to call them? lollard? anthony davis and rondo? not the Showers without draymond and stephs injuries piling up on the wrong side of 30.
though I suppose Kyrie's celtics will win a few les too![]()
The Warriors. Durbeta will probably play for the veteran's minimum if need be in order to keep collecting easy rings - he's that much of a coward.
Stop with this stupid shtick. Right now I'm pissed off, too pissed off to see this re ed shtick. If you fix computers, how the do you not know how to type correctly?
Surrender your franchise player
Durant will just jump to the Lakers if he thinks the tide is turning.
Probably doesn't matter in the long run but who knows
Where's that Mitch Kupchak gif?
Personally, I'd still rather trade with Philadelphia even more now that Lebron isn't signing with them (doesn't help the Spurs leverage, though). I like Embiid a lot as he can be the next great big man, and after starting to follow Basketball in the early 90s, I'm always more preferential to a great big man over a small. I think if the Warriors are going to be beat, it's going to be with a team that has a great big man. I like Brett Brown and wouldn't mind helping him out now that Lebron isn't going there. He started to win me over after the 2005 finals where I think he showed the team a video of him playing high school ball to lighten the mood after one of the tough loses to the Pistons in the finals.
As long as the Spurs get decent value back, I'd rather trade with Philadelphia. Boston, I'd only be interested in if Tatum is a part of the deal. Otherwise, they can off too. Not a big fan of the Celtics. Philadelphia was my second favourite team in the 90s after the Spurs for a 3 to 4 year stretch. The first 3 or 4 years with Iverson, I was a fan. I stopped being a fan when Iverson started getting really selfish, though.

At this point I will be happy with ANY scenario where kawhi is NOT traded to the Lakers.
Can we just be happy that Kawhi is pissed right now?
Let's try and get a good deal done with Philly.
Lakers and Celtics can get ed.
I don't see why Philadelphia wouldn't have a lot of incentive to do this. They can get one over on the Celtics and own the East for years to come. They can get the Celtics back for the 80s and take over the conference right now.
kiwi sure as isn't resigning in aelphia with a max slot open for LA![]()
I read that the reason Lenard & his group is pissed is cuz initially Spurs told him they wouldn't offer the Super Max, they wanted to use the money to build around him!!
So I'm guessing the Super Max might help but could b too late!
At this point I think Philly both help each other, not poke one another in the eye & settle down their demands with their good relationship with Brett Brown.
Philly knows they are not good enough to beat Boston also without a third superstar.
Kawhi & Mills for Fultz, Miami's 2021 1st rounder and Smith or Bolden/Luwawu-Cabarrot. This would give Philly a good shot to beat Boston to get to the finals next season that could convince Kawhi to re-sign there.
I’m not kidding or trolling when I say this: it’s over for the Spurs. It is inevitable that Kawhi returns to LA. The Spurs are just sourgrapes rn.
Yeah, actually they can:

If I was running the Spurs, I would declare that he has been sitting of his own volition since the Spurs last medical exam (where they and his then medical team cleared him to resume playing). That's more than 30 days. Then I would never agree to him taking another contract with an NBA team... Go play in China or somewhere, but never in the NBA.
Unless the Lakers sell out (and even then I'm not sure I'd do it) I'd rather trade Kawhi to Philly. If the Spurs are going to get screwed in a trade then Pop might as well help out a former protege.
