This, 100% this. Quit being ing bitter people. There is no package we are getting for Kawhi that makes us compe ive within the next 3-5 years. Might as well take the best package that sets us up for the future even if it is from the ing Lakers. If we don't trade Kawhi he sits out next year, goes to the Lakers, and we get nothing.
I agree with you, he will get a good maybe huge contract but for me he's the best talented player we could get. If it's too mouch i'll pass but he could be very interesting for us.
Most people are mentally weak and can be broken. I think a lot of people have been broken by all this drama and want it to end in the worst way which is what the media and Lakers want so the spurs cave in. Personally for me I'm fine with the drama. If the Spurs hold their ground the media will eventually crumble. The key is for the Spurs not to cave in even if it's certain Kawhi will walk in FA. You can't let him off the hook that easy for all the he has pulled.
