For those who still want to keep Kawhi, this was a relatively good day. It looks like all the immediate offers are done, and RC and Pop are gonna bring Kawhi into training camp. Jabari (mouth of Uncle D) said he wouldn't likely hold out and pointed out reconciliation is still possible.

So, get him into camp, work on the personal issues, see if he's healthy, and either put down the Supermax, or let him show the world he's still a top player for a month or two then trade him early enough that he still has value. Likely thats the PATFO plan as they tend to play the long game.

All of this makes perfect sense and Jabari might have sized it up right despite anyone’s feeling about him. It’s the only thing that makes sense and fits with what RC has been saying.....and he might know what he’s gonna do!

Exactly Had the Spurs been more committed to really making a trade on draft night then they could have gotten more from Phil including the 10th pick that Phil was all right trading. Spurs needed to have beaten Phoenix to the table with an offer but they should have had things worked out days before the draft with Phil. they didn't make a trade because they didn't want a trade not because they couldn't make a trade they liked.

The Spurs were still not convinced they wanted to trade Leonard and that is why there was no trade.
